Had a great trip.
Our trip to England, Wales, Ireland, and Scotland was wonderful!!! Everyone in the group got along really well all the time, unusual for a group of 22 people! Our guide Charlie was patient and kind and as knowledgeable as a history, culture, or literature professor. His information was marvelous and entertaining. Our bus driver Sarah was an absolute angel. She took care of our luggage twice a day and wouldn't let us help her. She was always kind and patient. We traveled to a lot of cities and were on the bus quite a bit, but every stop was spaced perfectly. We were never uncomfortable on the ride. My husband slept on the longer rides, and I took incredible photos through the window and edited them on the ride. The representatives at Affordable were always willing to help throughout the entire process. We could not have asked for a better experience, and we hope to travel with Affordable and Cosmos again!
My issues were with COSMOS. This is my 3rd COSMOS group trip. Our guide, a women was fair. She gave minimal commenting on local history and area. She was more interested in not talking over the PA system so people could nap. Driver was good. There were 47 passengers (27 women) on the bus and only 3 single seats. At some locations where we stopped for a bathroom breaks it took 1/2 hour for all the women to rotate through bathroom while the others waited until they were all done so we could move on with walking tours. So I had to sit with a woman from Australia in an aisle seat for 13 days. Almost all hotels were IBIS brand serving the same items for breakfast every day. Most of the hotels were in noisy locations, I had several very small single rooms, next to the elevator. Showers the size of a cruise ship type. Some AC systems did not work and windows would not open. Hotels were poorly located and a distance from city centers. No bar soap at any IBIS hotel only pump bottles for soap and shampoo. Itinerary stated 4 dinners but only 2 dinners were provided but no wine, bread or butter service. Wine & beer were offered for sale. I will never book another COSMOS trip.
Great guide and driver. Wonderful trip. All guests were good.
Our Guide was excellant! Apparently there was a man on the trip that complained that he spoke too much.We were on the bus a lot and he kept us informed with informaion regarding history, traditions, etc. all along the way. The same man complained that the trip was not what he expected. Next time don't sign up for a budget trip! They ignored us the entire trip. Everyone else on the tirp were great! All of the hotels were very nice. The breakfasts were the typical " Irish Breakfast", all but one with a nice selection (Belfast). The included hotel dinners were typical hotel food...nothing bad, just boring. The only real complaints that I have is that the time alloted for our stops was very short. Some were just lunch stops (ie. Dingle). Scarriff Inn did not appear to be prepared for us. I have been there before on my last trip and it was so nice. This time half of the menu was not available. Our driver was very nice. If I choose this company again I would probably upgrade to Globus.
We've taken several Cosmos and Globus tours and they do a fine job every time.
Driver, Chris and tour guide, Antoinette did above and beyond. They made sure we saw everything and had fun. It was fast paced but saw lots! Do the optional tours if interested. Do what you are able to do. Lots of moving, walking, and some time on bus to get to places.
We were happy with our Cosmos Trip to the Canyonlands. The Tour director, Craig Cherry, Kurt(bus driver) were pleasant and professional.
The tour guide did not provide itinerary details in a timely manner. Accommodations were good value.
It was a life-changing trip, visiting the holy sites in Italy, reaffirming the faith that I was raised to embrace and love.
-tour guide was not available most of the time when we were off the bus -hotel in Glasgow was not up to par, mold in bath, small bath, dusty, peeling wallpaper, dirty walls, bugs flying around, filthy carpet, shower head did not work properly, dirty window sills, bed sheets had holes etc
Most of the hotel locations are far from city centers, not convenient to travel to by walking, should use public transportation or uber/taxi.
Brenda was great. Cosmos was great and that same trip was priced much less with Brenda than other agents I compared. I highly recommend this tour - it is a busy-see-a-lot-of-Europe deal.
Cosmos always does an excellent job, that's why I've traveled with them 19 times!! Their hotel rooms & breakfast buffets are usually all excellent!! Excellent tour guides & drivers too!!

Overall, it was a great trip. We had an excellent Tour Director, Laurynas, and out drivers were great also, that being Peter and Julian. The hotels were great excepting for both IBIS hotels. Their rooms were tiny and their amenities were lacking. Their towels were terrible with only 2 very thin and coarse towels in the room. The IBIS Vilnius was comical as my wife had to step into the "closet" for me to pass by. Not impressed with IBIS at all. The locations were fine. A Serious Safety Concern. No lifejacket drill before sailing on the overnight between Helsinki and Stockholm. This should automatically be done. I feel that we should have been given the option of a different stateroom on the overnigh ferry also. It was noisy and there were not windows in the room. This could be easily rectified by offering an upgrade for an additional fee. I did feel that I was overcharged for the transport from the airport to the first hotel at $110 total. There is a Metro running from the airport directly to the hotel (Fermonen Station) and it is only 2 stops away. The cost would have been about $6 US. I certainly will book with Cosmos again in the future but you may wish to look into this.
