Question: Is Airfare Included in the Price?
Tour director and driver were terrific. Accommodations were very good considering we were in outlying areas for much of the trip. Rooms were simple and small but clean and well-supplied. We covered more of Scotland than other trips from this operator and most other operators, which is why we chose it. Lots of time in the bus but we were told before what to expect and when. There were stops for stretching, scenery, and snacking. We did go several days earlier to Edinburgh and that was a good decision. We saw much more than the tour included and the others missed some excellent places we had the chance to explore.
Memorable journey!
Only 1 hotel had a walk-in shower. All the others the tub was so high it was dangerous to get in. My roommate slipped and fell getting out as did 2 others we spoke to. Movenpick was substandsrd
I usually use Gate1. Trafalgar was ok , but I think I’ll stick with Gate1. The tour guide was very informative but didn’t wait for older people that were not that slow. She never looked back to check. The others in group helped. The extras were expensive and not worth money compared to other companies I’ve used. All of the vegetarian food was terrible and I’m not that picky. I was alone and worried about loosing group and I’ve done a lot of these groups I’m fairly fit so not one of the slower ones. I think director was burnt out. I think other tour companies care more
This was a very well run tour. We loved it
We have been on 4 Trafalgar trips now and while they were all excellent, the Scenic Scandinavia was the best!!
We have traveled with Trafalgar to three different countries now and have been 100% pleased! The experiences they offer, the tour directors, drivers, hotels, and dining are all wonderful! They truly hit the highlights of each country and we feel that we have gotten the best experienceout of each country that we’ve seen!

The Trafalgar Best of Italy tour was nothing short of extraordinary. I loved how the itinerary included both iconic cities and hidden gems. This made the tour a truly memorable experience! Our Travel Director, Gianluca, was exceptional — very knowledgeable, helpful, and experienced. A true master of his craft. He kept us well-informed and on track with the itinerary. The local specialists throughout the tour were equally impressive — deeply knowledgeable, engaging, and clearly proud to share their cities with us. Their insights added so much depth to our understanding of the art, architecture, and traditions that make Italy so unique. The optional experiences offered were well-selected and incredibly worthwhile, enriching the itinerary with unforgettable moments — from scenic cruises to immersive cultural encounters and authentic regional meals. Trafalgar delivered a truly immersive and seamless Italian adventure. I cannot recommend this tour highly enough for anyone seeking the perfect balance of structure, spontaneity, and expertly guided exploration.
