GalwayIreland’s cultural center and the festival capital of Ireland, Galway hosts 122 festivals per year. One might say the city’s artistic side is reflected in actor Peter O’Toole, who has a strong connection with Galway. O’Toole claimed that he was born in Galway before being taken to England as a baby and built a house outside Clifden in the county. - Dublin: History and famous figures. St. Patrick’s Cathedral is one of the few buildings left from medieval Dublin. It is also on this site where St. Patrick reputedly baptized the local Celtic chieftains in the 5th century. The cathedral was later built between 1191 and 1270 and has come to be famous for its choir, also Ireland’s oldest. The cathedral’s burial site of author Jonathan Swift is one of approximately 700 burials on the site.

Laurent Millet was an exceptional tour director. He took every opportunity he had to enhance our trip when he discovered a surprising development nearby.
Some of the accommodations left a little bit to be desired. Rooms were very small, beds were hard as a rock and the temperature in the rooms were uncomfortable.
This trip was fantastic. We had a few hiccups at the start in Rome due to the death of the Pope, but our tour guide worked hard to make the best of our time there. Once we went south it was fabulous. We saw so many hidden g places we were able to experience that we would have never found on our own. Sicily was so unique with its incredible scenic landscape. Loved this trip.
Lovely trip; will use Insight again
The trip was not exhausting and full of new things and places to explore. The tour guides presented the history of the different places and held my attention most times. It was a fun and a educational experience.
Judith Surjit, our guide, was #1, very informative, so well organized on our day to day itinerary. I would highly recommend her with Insight vacations. Her personality, knowledge of history of areas we visited was wonderful. Local guides were great also. Our driver, Greg, was great also, always felt safe with him driving, whether rain, sleet or snow. Just a great tour, learned so much about the different cultures. I hadn’t been to these countries.
Wonders of Egypt was an absolute amazing experience. Everything from the beginning to end was like clockwork. I felt safe and taken care of at all times.
Robbie Joyce was wonderful and the driver was excellent
The tour guide, Remi Gosselin, was superb and Enzo, our driver, was incredible. They were professional, knowledgeable, accommodating, and very thoughtful. For instance, when we did the gondola ride in Venice, Remi arranged for us to be serenaded. The musicians sang popular songs we recognized and it turned into a sing-along. The locals may not have enjoyed us but we had a great time. I still marvel at Enzo's driving. I would never have attempted to get a bus in some of the places he negotiated with seeming ease. And never once did he make a wrong turn.
It is my sixth trip with Insight. Need I say more?! Thank you to our Travel Consultant. I am looking forward for new opportunities.
