Question: Are there any shower/bath facilities on the train?
Question: What accommodation is on the train? Do we sleep on the train?
Question: How many suitcases can I take with me on my trip?
Question: Is Airfare Included in the Price?
EXCEPTIONAL: plane, train, boat & bus! Perfect adventure, perfect length, perfect tour director.
Even though we weren't informed that the train is usually running late, I had the best time ever. We were so glad that we upgraded to Prestige. It made the train ride so much more enjoyable.
The train ride and being on the train for 3 days was an experience I have never done before, but it was enjoyable. The tour director was very knowledgeable and had a great personality and took care of everything that was expected of him. I will recommend this trip to my friends, but the sleeping room on the train needs to be upgraded and they should have some connection with the outside world like a television or WiFi connection because at the present time, there is no connection and not much to do in the train ride.
Everything about this trip was first class.

The train was described as "Nestled in your first-class, art deco train car aboard VIA Rail’s The Canadian" etc. and "you’ll board your premier transcontinental train to etc." The train did not have first class accommodations for regular travelers and is not a premier train. This description is extremely deceiving. It is described as Art Deco when it is just old and in dire need of refurbishing. There is a car for better sleeping arrangements (if you paid a more expensive price) that one couple out of 30 travelers booked and one car used as a lounge with better seating available (if you paid the price) that we visited as a guest. The lounge car is 12 cars away from where the other 28 of the tour group resided. The food on the train was excellent and far better than any of the hotels offered, especially breakfasts. The hotels were three stars at the most with the exception of the South Thompson Inn. Our agent was easy to work with at Affordable Tous and I would recommend him as well as our tour guide with Globus. Both went out of their way to answer questions and make our tour enjoyable.
