Arrive in Helsinki, capital of Finland and transfer to your hotel. Spend the rest of the day at leisure. Tonight, attend an orientation meeting with your Tour Manager at approximately 6 PM, followed by dinner. We recommend that you select flights which arrive no later than 4 PM

DAY 3, Monday - Explore Helsinki, Walking Tour of Porvoo
Begin the day with a city tour of Helsinki, where you'll explore iconic landmarks such as Senate Square, Esplanade Park, Helsinki Cathedral, and the Government Palace. Learn about the city's rich culture, history, and stunning architecture. Continue with a scenic drive to Porvoo, located on the Gulf of Finland. On arrival, take a walking tour of the Old Town. View the medieval Porvoo Cathedral with its white façade and continue through the winding cobblestone streets lined with colorful wooden houses, while learning about the town's storied past as a bustling trading hub. Later, return to Helsinki

DAY 4, Tuesday - Ferry to Tallinn, City Tour of Tallinn
Embark on a scenic ferry journey to Tallinn, crossing the Baltic Sea. Admire the views of the coastline, and the archipelago along the way. In the afternoon discover Tallinn, the northernmost Baltic capital, with cobbled streets set beneath spires of 14th century churches. The city's historic Old Town was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. View the Song Festival grounds, and the spectacular ruins of the 15th century St. Bridget's Convent rising along the banks of the Pirita River. Proceed to the upper part of the Old Town and view the pink Baroque-style Toompea Castle, Estonia's traditional seat of power, and the Gothic Town Hall. Conclude with a visit to the onion-domed Alexander Nevsky Russian Orthodox Cathedral. Tonight, dinner is at the hotel

DAY 5, Wednesday - Farm Visit with Lunch

In the afternoon, return to Tallinn, and spend the balance of the day at leisure

DAY 6, Thursday - Travel to Riga
This morning, travel to the Latvian capital of Riga situated at the mouth of the Daugava River. This sophisticated historic city on the Baltic coast was named the "Little Paris of the North." In the afternoon, get acquainted with this city's Old Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Walk along the narrow medieval streets, and view Gothic and Baroque churches along with 19th century buildings. Tonight have dinner at a local restaurant

DAY 7, Friday - Riga City Tour, Rundale Palace
Today, explore Riga's impressive architecture encompassing Romanesque, Gothic, Renaissance, Baroque and Neoclassical facades. View Riga Castle, dating back to the 1440s, St. Jacobs Cathedral and St. Peter's Church, one of the oldest and most valuable monuments of medieval architecture in the Baltic States. Stop at the Freedom (Liberty) Monument honoring soldiers killed during the War of Independence, bearing a symbolic female holding aloft three stars representing the 3 regions of Latvia during the first republic. Later, travel through the southern part of Latvia to the magnificent 18th century Rundale Palace. Marvel at the palace's Baroque architecture and lavish interior. View the White Hall, the opulent Throne Room, and stunning Golden Hall. Stroll through the manicured gardens before returning to the hotel in time for dinner

DAY 8, Saturday - Cesis, Sigulda & Turaida Castles
Your day of exploration begins with a visit to the ancient ruins of Cesis Castle, dating back to the 13th century. Next, journey onwards to Sigulda, known as the "Switzerland of Latvia," for its stunning natural scenery. Tour the imposing ruins of Sigulda Castle, perched atop a hill overlooking the Gauja River Valley. Admire the medieval architecture and sweeping vistas. Continue to Turaida Castle a majestic fortress steeped in legend. Explore its well-preserved chambers, towers, and ramparts. Return to Riga with free time before dinner at a local restaurant

DAY 9, Sunday - Hill of Crosses, Klaipeda Old Town
Depart Riga and cross over to Lithuania and make a stop to explore the Hill of Crosses, a pilgrimage center. View the many thousands of crosses covering the famous Jurgaiciai Hill and learn about the events that made this hill sacred. Continue to the port city of Klaipeda. Take a captivating tour through the historic streets of Klaipeda's Old Town and admire the architectural treasures that reflect the city's rich history as a major seaport and trading hub. DAY 10, Monday - Experience Curonian Spit, Walking Tour of Nida, Amber Museum
Embark on a scenic ferry ride to the Curonian Spit National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Stretching over 60 miles along the Baltic Sea coast this narrow strip of land is home to towering sand dunes, dense forests, and pristine beaches. Depart for Juodkrante and stop at the Hill of Witches to view an array of wooden structures depicting characters from Lithuanian folklore. Next, take a guided walk of Nida, and view the neo-Gothic church and the imposing Thomas Mann House, former residence of the German writer. Conclude with a visit to the Amber Museum and explore the fascinating exhibits showcasing the beauty and diversity of Baltic amber

DAY 11, Tuesday - Rumsiskes Open-Air Ethnographic Museum, Vilnius
Depart Klaipeda and head north towards Vilnius, the capital of Lithuania. Along the way stop to visit the Rumsiskes Open-Air Ethnographic Museum that showcases the country's traditional architecture, crafts, and way of life from the 18th to the mid-20th century. As you explore the grounds, wander through villages, meandering along cobblestone streets lined with wooden houses, thatched cottages, and rustic farmsteads. Visit working mills, and artisan workshops where skilled craftsmen demonstrate age-old techniques. Arrive in Vilnius in the afternoon and check into the hotel with time to settle in before dinner

DAY 12, Wednesday - Vilnius City Tour, Trakai Castle
Begin the tour of Vilnius, at the medieval Old Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Visit the Baroque Church of St. Peter and St. Paul and view St. Anne's Church, a superb example of Gothic architecture. View Vilnius University, Gediminas Tower and Vilnius Castle in the Upper Town. Time on your own to wander along the narrow lanes lined with quaint shops and cafes. In the afternoon, visit the red brick Trakai Castle*, regally standing on an island on Galve Lake. This historic and world-famous Gothic palace was built by Lithuanian Dukes and once served as their residence. Time to stroll the grounds and visit the Palace Museum to see the extensive display of medieval exhibits before returning to Vilnius.
