DAY 2, Wednesday - Arrive in Denpasar, Transfer to Ubud
Arrive in Denpasar, capital of the exotic island province of Bali, known for its pristine beaches, and aura of spirituality. Transfer to Ubud, the island's cultural center and check into the hotel. Your tour will begin with an orientation meeting with your Tour Manager at approximately 6 PM, followed by a reception. We recommend that you select flights which arrive no later than 3 PM

DAY 3, Thursday - ARMA Museum & Monkey Forest
Begin the day with a visit to Agung Rai Museum of Art (ARMA Museum), a cultural treasure trove nestled amid lush tropical gardens in the heart of Ubud. Explore the museum's rich collection of traditional and contemporary Balinese art. Delve into the vibrant history and artistic heritage of Bali as you wander through the various galleries, each showcasing different periods and styles of Balinese art. Next, head to the nearby Monkey Forest, an enchanting sanctuary home to over 700 long-tailed macaques. Here, ancient temples and towering trees provide a picturesque backdrop for playful encounters with monkeys. DAY 4, Friday - Tegalalang, Tirta Empul Temple
Your day of exploration begins with a visit to Tegalalang Rice Terraces, located in the lush highlands of Ubud. The terraces sculpted by generations of Balinese farmers, using traditional subak irrigation methods, create a beautiful mosaic of green that changes with the seasons. From the top of the valley, the rice terraces offer a breathtaking panoramic view of the surrounding slopes. The road that runs along the ridge of the valley provides numerous viewpoints where you can capture great photos. Several small cafes and stalls dot the area, where you can stop to enjoy a cup of Bali's famous coffee while taking in the views. Next, head to Tirta Empul Temple, a sacred Balinese Hindu temple dedicated to Vishnu, the Hindu god of water. You have the option to join the locals in the ritual of purification, known as melukat, where you can immerse yourself in the sacred waters, a deeply spiritual experience. Explore the ancient temple complex surrounded by lush greenery before returning to the hotel

DAY 5, Saturday - Morning at Leisure or Optional Half Day Mas Village and Tegenungan Waterfall
The morning is free to further explore Ubud or take part in the optional Mas Village and Tegenungan Waterfall Tour. Depart Ubud and travel to Mas Village, renowned for producing some of the finest wood carvings in Bali. Visit a workshop and observe local artisans at work. The craftsmen use traditional tools and techniques passed down through generations to create exquisite carvings from local woods such as teak, mahogany, and ebony. Continue to Tegenungan Waterfall, a hidden gem nestled in the lush landscapes of Bali. As you make your way to this natural wonder, be prepared to be enchanted by the thundering cascade of water that plunges into a pool below. Descend to the base of the waterfall, where you can feel the refreshing mist and witness the sheer beauty of the surrounding greenery. Afterward, return to Ubud. Hotels in the south needed air conditioning. Breakfasts could have been a little better. These are minor complaints...all in all a great trip. Tour leader Lindsey Thorpe was terrific lots of rooms were messed up..twin beds when single was needed and visa versa
The highlight of this trip is our Tour manager ( Nguyen Duy Thang /victor ) He is very thoughtful, humble, generous, honest , compassionate individual. Victor is loyal, resourceful, persistent and extremely organized person . He made our experience in Vietnam tour extremely enjoyable and excellent . Victor deserves 100% as a Tour Manager . Gate 1 must recognize Mr Nguyen Duy Thang (Victor ).

I’m only concerned with Gate 1 misleading me with the last day that we were supposed to spend another night at the hotel on Dec 30th only to find out that it is not true. I was not able to clarify with my affordable agent as she was off that day. So I called gate 1 instead before booking my own airfare.
The Gate 1 tour guide was wonderful. The boat trip on the Mekong was very nice. Wine, beer, and soft drinks were provided free of charge at lunch and dinner. Most of the meals were Vietnamese food. The staff did a good job of providing alternative food for those that did not eat seafood. Siem Reap was beautiful. We did not choose the tour that continued in to Hanoi which was advertised as two days in Hanoi. However, their flight didn't arrive until 10:30 pm so an additional day in Siem Reap and had only one day in Hanoi.
Great tour manager, friendly, knowledgable, caring
Just completed 12/19-12/31 Tunisia Discovery Tour. Very disappointed with the accommodations in some of the areas as a few of the hotels were sub-par. In one hotel we had no hot water whatsoever. The food in three of the hotels was poor. The bus was uncomfortable, seats were peeling, it was extremely loud while on highways, the sound system poor, and we could hardly hear the tour manager. I feel these are unacceptable for a Gate 1 tours. The trip is rigorous which was fine for me but it needs to be better explained in the description of the trip for those who have mobility issues.
Highly recommended and highly satisfied with this tour. Enjoyed all the Xmas markets n the food delicious.
