A City Built on Islands
Begin today's discovery of Sweden's capital with sightseeing including a guided visit to Stockholm's iconic City Hall, where the annual Nobel Prize award festivities take place. You'll see the Council Chamber; the Gold Room, whose walls are sparkling with 18 million pieces of gold mosaic and glass depicting events in Swedish and world history; and the famous Blue Room, misnamed because the architect changed his mind and left its beautiful red-brick walls intact. Stockholm sightseeing continues with a panoramic lakeside drive over bridges that crisscross between Stockholm's small islands, offering views of Gamla Stan (Old Town) and a skyline of 17th- and 18th-century buildings, the Baltic Sea, Lake Malaren, the elegant Strandvagen waterfront, the inner harbor, the Royal Palace, the Cathedral and Parliament. The rest of the day is free to explore as you wish – perhaps take a canal tour, or walk through the cobbled streets of medieval Gamla Stan.

Nestled just off Bredgade, a stately boulevard known for its art galleries, antique shops, and embassies, the hotel is a short walk from the Royal Palace of Amalienborg, the Nyhavn canal district, and Kongens Nytorv (The King's New Square). Questions & Answers Ask A Question
Question: How many suitcases can I take with me on my trip?
Question: Is Airfare Included in the Price?
This tour was exceptionally good. Everything on the tour was well organized and there were many wonderful surprises.
Didn't feel the price we paid was worth it. Some of the food and accommodations (mostly the room locations) were disappointing. Trafalgar, Globus and Insight tours stayed at some of our hotels. I think I would get better value with them.
The trip itself and the service of Affordable Tours was outstanding!
I was pleased with both the tour operator and Affordable tours. Well done.
