On this Outback Australian adventure, spend three days soaking up the iconic sites and natural landscapes of the Northern Territory. Starting in either Alice Springs or Yulara, you'll watch as the sun sets over the epic monolith from a prime viewing location with your local leader and small group of fellow travellers. Then, walk around Kata Tjuta (formerly known as 'The Olgas') as mighty Mount Olga towers above your track and take a dot painting workshop with a local First Nations artist. Walk to the Mutitjulu Waterhole, maybe take the opportunity to spend the night at the Field of Lights experience, then look up as the brilliant night sky comes alive. End it all back at Uluru with one of the best sunrises you've ever seen!

Day 1
Yulara (or Alice Springs) / Uluru / YularaWelcome to Yulara! Your adventure begins with a welcome meeting at 4 pm at your hotel. Then, you'll head off straight away with your group, making your way to one of Australia’s most spiritually significant and iconic sites – Uluru. When you arrive, enjoy the view from a prime viewing location as the sun sets over the epic sandstone monolith. Watching the landscape shift in colour is a truly unforgettable sight. Tonight, make sure to look up, as this is one of the best spots to stargaze in the country!

Day 2
Kata Tjuta / Uluru / YularaHead out to Kata Tjuta (formerly known as 'The Olgas') – a towering collection of 36 domed rock formations and one of Australia’s most impressive sights. Embark on the Walpa Gorge walk, where Mount Olga towers above the track. Return to Uluru and continue connecting with First Nations culture at the Uluru-Kata Tjuta Cultural Centre, where you’ll have a picnic lunch and take part in an immersive dot painting workshop. A respected Walkatjara artist from the Mutitjulu community and a Walkatjara arts narrator will guide you as you connect with the ancient Anangu wisdom of the land. The stories told will be in the native Pitjantjatjara language, then translated into English. You’ll get a canvas to take home. This afternoon, walk to the Mutitjulu Waterhole at the base of the rock. Your leader will explain what makes this waterhole sacred and its connection to the Anangu people. Tonight, maybe visit the Field of Light – an enormous art installation that illuminates the landscape with 50,000 stems of light.

Great trip. Our guide Lochin was outstanding and group was a lot of fun.
I had a wonderful experience during the culinary journey in Morroco. I experienced the beauty of Morroco and its wonderfual and hospitable people. Our guide, Tariq Hammoudi, was a great guide and provided us with valuable information and advice along the way. The countryside and desert were absolutely stunning. The desert visit was the highlight of the trip for me. I took many photos which I shared with friends and family, and all of them expressed amazement and envy that I was actually vacationing in this wonderful country.
Everything was wonderful but the Itinerary spelled out we would be staying in Refugio Domo Francis and Refugio Torre Central, but we ended up staying in the tents. We did not hear that until the night of the tour meeting. That is a mis-representation of the accommodations and cost. I understand why they might not have been available because those accommodations are limited, but you should put in the itinerary that the tour most likely stays in tents (with a photo). The itinerary also does not say that the dinner at the Camping Francis will be a box dinner sitting on the floor. The experience was wonderful but you should not promise a refugio if it is not available. The Camping at Francis was wonderful.
Intrepid is awesome. Our guide was superb. Everything went smoothly!
Our tour guide was wonderful. She was knowledgeable, fun, energetic, and made our week run very smoothly. The trip itself was fantastic! We saw a lot and the islands are absolutely beautiful. Great food, great new friends made on the tour, and would absolutely book with Intrepid again.
Intrepid tour is great company. Will use this company again.
The trip was both both educational and exciting. I very much enjoyed the sights and culture.
The itinerary was just as I expected! The guide was very good as were the accomodations
Intrepid did such a great job. I never had to worry about where I was supposed to be and it felt so good not to worry about a thing but just to enjoy myself. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable about culture and history.
Taiwan people very friendly. Accommodation were centrally located and easily accessible. Did extra activities then in brochure which was greatly.
Larus our tour guide did an excellent job and was very attentive to our needs. He is very knowledgeable and has a great sense of humor.
Our guide Tarang chandola was exceptional. Courteous, knowledgeable, organized, polite, professional and went above and beyond taking care of our needs and requests offen anticipating what that might be. He made sure we all had the best possible time and offered suggestions to meet the needs of everyone on the tour. This made the trip even more enjoyable.
