Tour Itinerary

Explore Beijing's Forbidden City and Tiananmen Square, trek along the Great Wall, sleep in rural villages, enjoy a tai chi lesson

Centuries after its construction, China's Great Wall remains one of humankind's engineering marvels. At over 21,000km (13,048 mi) in length, the Wall is a trip in and of itself. You won't tackle the whole thing on this 10-day trip, but you'll return home with a deeper understanding of life that goes on around and upon it. The Beijing-to-Beijing route will take you to small villages that have stood for centuries in the shadow of this massive tribute to human will and introduce you to the cuisine, culture, and history that make this one of China's most captivating attractions. The Wall's been standing for centuries. Isn't it about time you turned up?

Afterward, travel to Jinshanling for a trek on this quintessential portion of the Wall crowned with a two-story watch tower. Jump back in time and get a glimpse of ancient China.
Activity: Start your hike off at Panlongshan (Coiling Dragon Mountain) for a three hour hike along the Great Wall. Activity: Enjoy another day of hiking. Along a Jinshanling loop, the watchtowers get closer together, and the Wall is in its best state of repair. G adventures offers hands down some of the best tour packages out there!

The Japan vacation was better than I expected!!!! It was an active "moving" trip, which I truly enjoyed. I've done "coach tours" where you sit on the bus and they take you -- this experience was "hands on" riding the buses, trains and running through the streets -- it was amazing !!!!! We got the full feel of Japan and the people. This trip is not for the weak or slow pace crowd - you drag your luggage through the streets, up and down stairs --- it was truly exciting and exhilarating. G adventures has a fan for life. The instructions and assistance was outstanding -- Great job - Steve (AffordableTours.com) was outstanding !
