Every year, my very large family, who are spread around the country, likes to get together for an annual family reunion. For the second time this year, I chose to cruise out of the Galveston port on beautiful Liberty of the Seas. As a loyal Royal Caribbean cruiser, most of my cruise vacations are with this line, and although there are more itinerary options out of other ports, Galveston can’t be beat for convenience. It’s easy to get to, there’s ample parking for those who drive themselves, and if you choose to spend extra time in the port area, Galveston is full of history and charm.
