Slovak Paradise National Park

Tatras
The high Tatras or the Tatras Mountains both provide a way for you to enjoy some skiing if you are visiting during the colder months. Folk Art Centers of Bratislava
If you love folk arts and seeing things done differently, then the Folk Art Centers of Bratislava is where you want to visit. They have art pieces, stories, plays, and so much more that you can purchase tickets for or just show up and walk through the center to learn more.

You can visit this attraction at almost any time. However, when the weather becomes colder, the center does shut down.
You Should Know
They are always looking for ways to continue running, so if possible, it would be nice to leave a tip. The actors are from the surrounding area and also from abroad who come to learn.
Little Danube
Little Danube is a smaller river and it allows visitors to come out and view the beautiful scenery or take a canoe out into the water. You can bring a guide with you and they can point out many of the places of interest along the way.

Since you are going to be in the water, you should visit this area is in the spring and summer months. You can ensure you are comfortable while on the water and in the canoe.
You Should Know
This is one of the easiest and most affordable things to do in the area when you get off the ship. This little river is also known as Maly Dunaj.
Bratislava Castle
The main castle found in Bratislava, this piece of history is well-preserved and beautiful. The large marble statues still stand outside and welcome you inside. The top of the hill gives a great city view and the inside of the castle takes you through the past. Take in every little bit of the castle, and even take pictures to show everyone when you get back.

Since the castle is mostly inside, you can find that visiting during the rainy or cooler days is recommended because you don't have to worry about this while inside.
You Should Know
It is one of the most dominant features of the city because it is in the heart and the center of the city. View both the old city and the new city when you are visiting this castle.
Old Town Hall
Thought to be a landmark building since it has been standing for so long, it has recently been turned into the city's museum. You can see pieces of the past preserved and on display. This is not just one building, but a series of buildings that have been standing since the age of time in this little city.

Since you will be walking outside around the buildings, you will want to make sure that it is somewhat nice out. This way, you can be comfortable when going from building to building.
You Should Know
Take the tour that includes the tower because you can have a 360 view of the city down below. The series of buildings was built around 1370, making them one of the oldest in the area to still be standing.
Michael’s Gate
Built in the year 1300, it is one of the oldest standing pieces that can be found in the area next to the Old Town Hall. It is and was used as an entry gate to the city. Those who stand at the top of the tower are able to look down and see everyone who is coming into the city center. It was reconstructed in 1758, which changed the structure to the cylinder shape.
Best Time To Visit
Since the gate is outside, visiting during the warmer months when it is not raining, or snowing is ideal. You can be comfortable while walking through and viewing all of the attractions around you.
You Should Know
The statues of St. Michael and the dragon at the top were placed there during the reconstruction in 1758. There is also an Exhibit of Weapons inside the gate, so when you go in, you can see this display which is a part of Bratislava history.
There are definitely four distinct seasons in Slovakia. The summers are hot, and the winters are cold with a lot of snow. They last from December to March. Those who choose to visit usually do so during the spring and autumn months because it is warm out, but not too hot or cold. Visiting during the winter can be done, but generally, those who want to ski are the only ones who visit the area since many of the other attractions shut down during this time. When you visit is entirely up to you, but cruises only run during a specific time of the year.
