Question: Do the buses have restrooms?
Question: Is there any opportunity on this tour to get an optional excursion to Stonehenge?
Question: How many suitcases can I take with me on my trip?
Question: Is Airfare Included in the Price?
I was disappointed in our tour. I was aware from the itinerary that it was a face paced tour but it felt that we spent a lot of time on the bus and at rest stops and had much less time at the sites I really wanted to see. I was disappointed in out tour guide. She did not go beyond the basics.
Both Affordable Tours and Globus have always been a "sure bet" and we have been with them over 12 times!
Had a great time with Globus and would go with them again.
Accommodations and meals did not seem as good as past Globus tours. Would rather have a few meals at local establishments instead of hotels. Too much coach time (maybe too many miles covered in time slotted.)
The Globus tour we took in Scotland, Ireland and Northern Ireland was excellent. Hotels were great and the tour guide was excellent.
At some places it exedeed my expectations.
Our tour guide, Anne, was very personable, professional, patient and courteous. She also went above her role in helping me with a big favor. Thanks too to our driver, Mark for driving us safely and helping us with our heavy luggage.
In general the accommodations were good withe exception of the Jurys Inn in Glasgow. We stayed there on the first and last days of the tour. The rooms were bad, located next the railroad tracks. The food there was bland and tasteless. You should find another hotel.
Excellent trip
the tour guid anne is very good ,pleasant to be with
This was our 4th Globus tour and will continue to use them.
This trip exceeded my expectations. The tour director was extremely knowledgeable and went above and beyond to make sure all details were attended to. I thoroughly enjoyed the trip and every detail within.
Globus is always great, as expected, that is why we have used them multiple times. Affordable tours has also been consistently helpful and trustworthy to get things right and ensure we have a good vacation. We are quite pleased with both. The tour itself was fantastic, Ireland and Scotland being the predominant focus of the tour. It was great to get to Northern Ireland as well, learning a bit more about the problem that have occurred there since the early 1900's. But the people, excursions, scenery, all were quite memorable. A mix of hotels from modern to rustic, was also a nice aspect. This tour would not dissapoint, especially if you are of Scottish or Irish (or both) heritage. But you do not need to be.
Hotel's appeared to be as good as expected; however, too many problems (A/C out in Liverpool, several the plumbing was marginal at best, irons that didn't work, etc.).
The tour director was very knowledgeable and accommodating to all types of personalities. The driver was also very skilled and made us feel safe at all times.
However - We took all the excursions. Without them the trip would have been a 'Poor Trip'
Right now, I would hesitate to book another trip with Globus. * I was not happy with the tour guide. She was not always courteous and helpful. *The size of the bus was not comfortable for a group of 44 people. We were smashed inside the bus and did not have enough leg room or room for personal belongings. For my next trip, I will get accurate info about the number of people on the bus and the room between seats. *The 1st and last hotel, GoGlasgow was not up to Globus's standards for an excellent room. I realize it was close to the airport but it wasn't in a appropriate neighborhood for Globus and some of the rooms were a mess. Paint peeling, rollaway beds, and the first dinner was awful; the dinner on the last evening was ok, but not great. The rest of the hotels were ok or good! * The amount of time on the internet that we were allotted was unacceptable to most of people on the tour, especially on days we were on the bus for a long time. Globus should not limit time on the internet!!!!!! I don't think an excellent tour should do that to its participants!!!! *Optional excursions: At the Bunratty Castle we were stuffed into the benches and could hardly get in and out of our seat. Other tours had 5 people on each side of the bench. We had 8 people on each side of the bench. I was not happy with that excursion. The Royal Yacht Britannia visit was good but the food at the restaurant afterwards was terrible. The restaurant was called Papillon. Globus should not use that pub again or food offerings should be upgraded. The other excursions were great and entertaining!!
The globus tour guide was excellent
This tour covers an amazing amount of territory. You learn so much about each country as you visit them. The tour guide was amazingly knowledgeable about every place we went. The bus driver was spot on perfect! Most of us wouldn't have been able to maneuver a car through some of the places he squeezed this bus through.
Our tour was handled by Globus - everything they did was wonderful. I highly recommend this tour (the Celtic Highlights) for an introduction to Scotland, Ireland, and Wales. It was fantastic, and it's a whirlwind - you end up noting the big hitter tourist areas you'd like to spend more time exploring on your own, because you cover a lot of ground and see a LOT in that two week period.
Globus needs to have a policy about sick passengers. More than half the passengers including myself became ill because of one ill person.
Great itinerary. Wonderful guide. Be ready for lots of driving, but scenery is beautiful.
Great adventure in Scotland, Ireland, and Wales. Terrific experience!
Our trip was wonderful. The hotels were very nice. Having three choices of food was the best and the food was always good. The tour guide was very knowledgeable so we learned a lot about the countries we visited. She made the trip a great experience. The coach driver was fantastic. He drove that coach on the roads with expertise. I will definitely use this company again.
In depth travel of Scotland and Ireland. You will have a great experience.
This is an awesome itinerary; no traveler could be disappointed! Good commentary through beautiful scenery. Hotels and food are wonderful.
The trip was mostly great except for the following: - flights with United Air were almost all delayed - flight arrangements had very short connection times causing me to run from 1 gate to another. - luggage was lost by the airline at both ends of my trip - some hotels did not have air conditioners - food in hotels are almost all the same - some optional dinners were not good. One even took almost an hour before we got served
Our tour guide was awesome!
I was very disappointed in some of the hotel choices---two stars, at best. I expect more from Globus. On the other hand, our tour guide was one of the best guides I have ever had on a Globus tour. Our driver, was a true gentlemen and superb driver.
Globus provided the best Tour Director, I have ever encountered. He was not only the most knowledgable and experienced guide, he acted like a teacher and very witty/humorous guy. He explained the history of both Scotland and Ireland in details, so the journey was enjoyable. Our Coach Operator was also excellent and safe driver.
Everything was great!
Our trip to the UK including Celtic Highlites was wonderful the only problem was it was too short and time passed so fast. Our guide and guides could not have been better. We will be going again with you we are very happy.
My husband and I had a very enjoyable trip and the Globus tour guide and driver were very professional and friendly. Again thank you for a great experience.
Globus Tours was excellent.

Great trip with scenic, historical and interesting venues and tours. Loved our tour guide and bus driver, great accommodations, Busy pace and made the most of every opportunity to see what we could. Would have liked more time to hike at scenic stops like Cliffs of Moher and Giant's Causeway.
