It's time to witness the paradise of the East Thai islands. We'll take you on a trip from Koh Samui to Koh Tao and onto Koh Phangan, immersing you in iconic nightlife and Thai island adventures that have no comparison on earth, while still giving you time to max relax.
-
Day 1
Start Koh SamuiIf anything gets a pack of travelers feeling hyped it's the prospect of 9 days exploring the fabled Thai islands. If you can drag yourselves away from the luxe hotel we've all checked-in to, our first night in Koh Samui as a squad will see us taking in the buzzy nightlife of Chaweng Beach.Accommodation: Nora Chaweng Hotel (or similar)
-
Day 2
Koh SamuiReally, can snorkelling, swimming, soaking up the rays and sipping on fresh coconuts ever get boring? Hmm...no. But if you've got a taste for adventure, this glorious island offers plenty to keep hungry explorers enthralled. Visit the mighty Wat Phra Yai temple with its 15-meter golden Buddha statue, see the super on-trend mummified monk at Wat Khunaram, or marvel at the natural beauty of the Grandmother & Grandfather rocks on our highlights of Samui island trip.Accommodation: Nora Chaweng Hotel (or similar)
Meals: Breakfast -
Day 3
Koh SamuiThree days in Samui means plenty of time to get a taste of the place - and we don't just say that figuratively. Mangosteen & rambutan fresh off the tree, coconut & lime Panang curries & mango sticky rice are just some of the flavors on offer to pleasure your palate, in amongst ocean swims and island explorations of course.Accommodation: Nora Chaweng Hotel (or similar)
Meals: Breakfast -
Day 4
Koh Samui to Koh TaoToday we swap one ocean paradise for another, departing Koh Samui and cruising the Gulf of Thailand to Koh Tao. Ah, life on the Kohs - that's Thai for islands, if you hadn't already noticed. Today we have an orientation walk and an all included beach-side dinner to settle us into the vibes of Tao, starting life on this island right.Accommodation: Sairee Hut Resort Koh Tao (or similar)
Meals: Breakfast Dinner -
Day 5
Koh TaoGetting under water should be high priority today. Abounding in coral beauty and (wait for it) sea turtles, Koh Tao's diving reputation is well documented. Grab a snorkel and ask your Trip Manager for the islands hidden spots. Above land, the islands hilly landscapes offer many pretty hiking trails and bubbling waterfalls, depending on the season. Above or below water level, the island is yours & will fill you with happy feels.Accommodation: Sairee Hut Resort Koh Tao (or similar)

Day 6
Koh Tao to Koh Pha NganWill we be sad to leave Koh Tao today? Maybe slightly. But with another swaying palm trees destination calling our names, we're hardly sobbing into our backpacks. This afternoon we make our way to Koh Pha Ngan. Koh Pha Ngan is fringed by flawless beaches that offer endless days of island enjoyment. Grab a snorkel and hit the seas for an island adventure, or head to Haad Yao, one of our absolute favorites, for some sea and sun.Accommodation: Shiralea Backpackers Resort (or similar)
Meals: Breakfast -
Day 7
Koh Pha NganEnjoying a traditional Thai massage whilst listening to the sound of the waves, the sea breeze tickling your body - now that should be up there as a top 10 life goal. Once ticked, more Koh Pha Ngan beach hangs and some time exploring the island, fresh coconut in hand, can complete your day. *Happy sigh*Accommodation: Shiralea Backpackers Resort (or similar)
Meals: Breakfast -
Day 8
Koh Pha NganIt's the second last day of our island adventure and 'mai pen rai - don't worry, be happy' is now the group mentality. Enjoy a lazy breakfast and dose up on Vitamin D. It's our last full one together, so make it count.Accommodation: Shiralea Backpackers Resort (or similar)
Meals: Breakfast Dinner -
Day 9
Koh Pha Ngan to Koh SamuiBreathe in those last waves of Koh Pha Ngan air before we hit the seas for our ferry ride back to where it all began, Koh Samui. We'll arrive back in Samui armed with a totally zen outlook and a backpack full of incredible new memories. Say your teary goodbyes to your new wolf-pack, making plans for a reunion tour to ease the pain - not forgetting there are another collection of Thai islands just waiting to be explored.

Health and Safety Protocols for Contiki Tours
Contiki has introduced these enhanced hygiene protocols – for you and team members.
You can travel with Contiki and be assured that their team has put numerous new measures in place to elevate their hygiene standards and protocols. The well-being of guests and team has always been, and always will be, their primary concern.
In this new, fast changing Covid-19 era, Contiki is doing all they can to adapt to new requirements and expectations. Here are some important new steps and procedures that they have implemented to enhance hygiene protocols, to comply with physical distancing requirements by relevant government authorities and to give you the peace of mind when you are traveling during these new times.
Expertly Trained Travel DirectorsTravel Director training equips them with enhanced hygiene and physical distancing procedures. During your trip, they will operate with a duty of care and monitor the hygiene etiquette of the guests, reacting and advising as needed, to ensure high standards are maintained. Before you travel, Contiki will also keep you well informed about new protocols required in these areas, and ask that you cooperate with and heed the advice and direction of Travel Directors while on your trip. The Travel Directors have preventative measures in place to try and ensure your well-being and in the event that any unexpected issues arise on trip, they will activate additional protocols.
Stringent On-the-Road ProtocolsThe customized luxury coaches are sanitised before the start of your trip and have always been kept to very high standards. Following the outbreak of COVID-19, Contiki have taken additional measures to elevate hygiene and sanitary practices in accordance with guidance from the World Health Organisation (WHO) and as required, applicable government regulations. The Driver training provides them with the latest hygiene protocols. They will clean and disinfect all surfaces including handrails, door handles, tables, seats, air-conditioning filters and overhead lockers on a daily basis. All the guests are asked to follow hygiene practices recommended by the World Health Organisation including the thorough and regular washing of hands and sanitising when required. Hand sanitiser is freely available on board for your use throughout the day. Please bring your own washable face mask and gloves with you, and additional hand sanitiser to make you feel comfortable, as these will be required to be worn in public in some countries. Should an unexpected situation arise, additional face masks, rubber gloves, antiviral sprays and wipes will be available for guest distribution on all trips.
A Full Team of Support 24/7It’s not just your Travel Director and Driver who will be taking care of you. Behind the scenes, the operations and guest support teams are in contact with them and on call 24/7, so you can rest assured that you’re in good hands.

Have peace of mind that all of the experiences, hotels and restaurants you’ll enjoy on your trip have been vetted to ensure they adhere to physical distancing and hygiene guidelines.
Trusted Partners, Exceptional StandardsContiki is very selective in who they work with and choose to only use hotels, restaurants, ground handlers and venues that take the well-being of the guests as seriously as Contiki does and agrees to meet expected guidelines and specifications. Contiki only works with establishments that they are confident will consistently adhere to their high standards.
Always in the KnowAs part of The Travel Corporation (TTC) , Contiki is kept up to date with all government advisories and travel alerts on a daily basis and is continually in touch with all of the partners on the ground in each destination. Also, rest assured that during your trip, the teams work to ensure the supplier partners (hotels, restaurants, museums and other venues) are also applying the same standard to these new hygiene and distancing protocols, to the extent possible.

Question: How many suitcases can I take with me on my trip?
Question: Is Airfare Included in the Price?
We were lucky that the group of people with were good, but it was a large group tour and did have some of the downfalls of a trip of that nature, like frequent breaks for the bathroom, difficulty when eating out together, and getting things on and off the coach. The trip was still great and a good value for the money.
It was a good value and the experiences included were worth it. The only part that wasn't the best were the accommodations as it was hit and miss. Half of the hotels on the trip were okay, and the other half were really nice.
I had an amazing trip!
