BRISBANE. EXCURSION TO THE AUSTRALIA ZOOKoalas, Crocs, and Roos, Oh My! Enjoy an orientation tour of Brisbane, including the historical buildings and modern high-rises. Learn about the city’s convict past along with its modern cosmopolitan culture. Afterward, travel to the Australia Zoo, “Home of the Crocodile Hunter” where you’ll see some of Australia’s famous wildlife. You can hand-feed kangaroos, pet a dingo, see the amazing saltwater crocodiles, and more. Return to Brisbane where the evening is at leisure. (B)LOCAL FAVORITECONSERVATION HEROES Go behind-the-scenes for a look at Australia Zoo’s [LF] Wildlife Hospital. Founded by Steve and Terri Irwin, it is home to amazing work being done by an extraordinary team of veterinarians. Return to your resort where the remainder of the day is yours to explore the beautiful beaches or perhaps sample some local cuisine. (B,L) TOUR HIGHLIGHTEPIC RIDE Aboard a custom-built safari jet boat, you’ll be transported deep into the heart & soul of Fiji. As you journey up the river, hear the history of the region. Children from the villages that line the river and wave as you cruise past. When you reach the village, you are given a warm welcome by the villagers and then are escorted to the village Chief’s bure (house) or to the community hall. Take part in a kava ceremony, then tour the village before sitting down to a traditional Fijian lunch. Your visit ends with traditional Fijian singing and dancing. This was our sixth Globus tour. Three with Avalon. We have always had a great time and cannot wait for our next one in October.

I have traveled numerous times with Globus and I am very satisfied with their service and tour packages. The hotels are beautiful and modern. The activities are exciting, and the places visited are fantastic which makes a trip memorable.
This Globus Independent tour of Vietnam, Cambodia and Bangkok exceeded our expectations. We thoroughly enjoyed the included itinerary, and the optional excursions were exceptional. The tour guides who cared for us in each city were top of their profession. We learned so much and they were fun, caring and extremely helpful.
Some rooms lacked A/C and hotel gym.
We had a great time on this trip!
Iguassu Host/Guide didn't speak English very well. Said he had learned English two months ago. He was prompt and courteous but didn't totally understand everything we were asking and discussed. All the South American destinations we had difficulties with communications when dealing with the locals (not guide or host). There appears to be less people that speak English than in Europe.
Affordable Tours was easy to work with and helped me make my trip what I wanted it to be. Globus Tours provided well managed trip to Portugal -our guide Beatriz was very informative and gave us an inspirational time exploring almost all of Portugal -the experiences were unforgettable, and I loved learning about and experiencing Portugal!
This was my first trip with Affordable tours. Iwas very impressed. I personally didn't appreciate that I had to fight with multiple suitcase and having to walk long distances. Future trips i will definitely pack light because of all of the walking and transferring from plane, bus and trains.
You cannot beat Globus Escape tours for the price. They've become more and more popular as this is the 2nd or 3rd time they've opened a parallel tour to go with the one we've chosen. This tour was fast paced and would give a first time visitor a taste of the area. Globus tour directors are excellent and all of the hotels were located conveniently.
Super trip. Great tour director and super coach driver! We had a significant weather issue outside of their control and they did an outstanding job to deal with situation! Sites, hotels etc great!!
Some of the hotels were outdated but accessible to the city center. So you are trading one option for another.
We had good tour director Mauricio. My only comment was that we booked it as a smaller group however we were integrated with a bigger group in total we were 24 in the group good thing the people in the tour were really nice people.
Everything and everyone was great. Tracy and Francesco are the best tour guides I have ever met.
