Question: Is Airfare Included in the Price?
The tour guide needed to make sure all participants were together before moving to next part of the tour.
The personnel that we were in closest contact with were extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and patient. Paige from Affordable Tours and Andrei and Robert the tour guide and bus driver from Globus.
Excellent service, the trip was fantastic, nice hotels right on the central location, we love our tour , our director and the driver. Thank you Linh for helped us booked the trip. I would book another trip with her again and recommend to friends and family.
It was good with excellent Tour Director.
The various locations visited by the group were interesting, but after a few duty halls and churches, it would have been nice to see something of a different nature.
The only negative was the large size of the group - 43 people on our tour.
The only quibble was that the room in Copenhagen was extraordinarily small. Otherwise things were fine.
globus did not meet my expectations. I had LOTS of free time and booked 5 additional trips with them to fill in this time. This was expensice and these trips were sometimes poor. The group was large ( 42) and it was sometimes difficult to ask questions and get feedback. The hotels were well situated and food provided was good. City tours were poor and short, starting at 9 and finishing at 11:30-12.
Will definitely use Affordable tours again -- my travel consultant was excellent. Thoroughly enjoyed the tour. The guides and driver were great. The hotels were wonderful. Would not hesitate to book through Affordable Tours...
Loved the trip, top of the line services and accommodations! best price available was here at Affordable Tours!
Great trip. The only negative, minor in nature, the Hotels selection could be better.
Hotel in Helsinki needs changed, the hotel looks very used and needs extreme updating. We woke up the second morning to find water coming through the ceiling, there were parts of the bathtub missing, and the carpet in the hallways was dirty. The final dinner in Helsinki was extremely small and portioned.
First Hotel in Denmark Imperial 0 rating no AC was a awful twin bed and they gave me a small fan it was a small hot!!!! Box I had no sleep. In Helsinki the Farewell Goodby dinner was awful no taste only 1 waiter to serve 50 guest took 3 hrs to serve.
My only recommendation to Globus is to make tours according to age and health of travelers. I'm in my early 50s and very good shape. However, there were a few elder people in the tour, some of them with problems with walking even short distances. Therefore some of the programmed activities got delayed or shortened. Very disappointed about this.
I enjoyed Scandinavia very much. It was a wonderful trip. Loved very much. strongly I recommend the tour.
In retrospect, the operator described the trip properly. However, the basic package was almost a Monogram, providing transportation and hotel rooms. To have a meaningful trip I had to add a lot of optional tours that added significantly to the cost. I suggest that one reads the description very very carefully. In my opinion the tour operator should be more specific up front.
Scandinavia is lovely. However, we spent two days on the bus driving on tree lined highways. I can do that at home. That, of course, has nothing to do with Affordable Tours who were great throughout, but it might be something to caution future travelers about.
Our tour director was outstanding and so engaging with our group. Cannot say enough about him. We do believe and are also echoing the sentiments of others on tour that the Christmas Dinner was not worth the money. Very disappointed. We would have never paid that amount for the dinners.
Too many " optional excursions " that could have and should have been included in the tour.
Northern Capitals by Globus was an excellent tour. We had such a delightful tour director.
With exception to rooms at Imperial Hotel Copenhagen Denmark, I was very satisfied and had a great time.
The itinerary/package was excellent.
There are too many additional tour guides who expect tips. Also there is not enough included excursions: one tour of the city then you have to pay a lot more for additional tours. Not enough history and culture included on excursions, just an expensive meal.
I would only book with Globus again if there was no other company offering an itinerary I want. The tour director basically sat with us on the bus and set up some dinners, but other than that he was MIA. One morning, our local tour guide had to wake him up. The bus driver was very nice, however he was somewhat new and the tour director was constantly berating him for not knowing the shortcuts. It got to the point where I was sitting up front and told the driver not to let the tour director bully him. The tour did not deliver enough interesting excursions. Several cities were rushed and very short. I felt as if Globus stole money from me by this experience.
The tour director was knowledgeable and helpful. He intelligently and appropriately shared the history of certain famous people every time we passed by certain town. He also played the popular music and beautiful songs from Scandinavia to introduce us to different music composers, singers, etc. I also liked the fact that he passed around money bills from Scandinavia and educated us the meaning of certain people we saw on the bills. This is amazing. He did not overload us with lectures, but skillfully shared what we needed to know and remember. We all like the tour director. The local tour guides were excellent! We enjoyed all of them during this trip. I have to congratulate Globus for finding the talented and knowledgeable local tour guides which makes the tour very enjoyable.
Too many optional tour for that price.
Our guide was THE BEST guide. I would book another trip if I knew he was the guide.
Thank you for booking the tour. Our tour guide, was excellent. Highly recommend any tour he conducts. My only recommendation is that they consider deleting Oslo and make it an 8 day trip instead. The driving to and from Oslo is too long for what you see.
We had a fantastic tour guide from Globus, the best tour guide I have ever had.
Trip was amazing and exceeded my expectations. Highly recommended.
The agent is the BEST travel agent with whom I have ever worked with. The accommodations this year were much more consistent from city to city than some of the previous Globus tours I have taken. They were EXCELLENT!
Tour director was best yet. Worked very hard and everyone I talked to thought so too. This was a great tour.
some of the optional tours were not offered or times were changed
The hotels were great. The Radisson Blu at Helsinki was very new, and the service staff outstanding. This was my 6th European tour, 4 with Globus and two with Trafalgar, all booked with Affordable Tours. I've always been pleased with the relationship, look forward to working with you again.
