The tour Director assigned to our bus was great.
VERY GOOD SERVICE.
The Tour Guide was extremely helpful, as his interest and expert knowledge of the History and Culture added value to the tour.
The operator did not offer much of a description of the tour but I had did my research. Some of the Accommodations were very poor and some were quite lovely. I made my comments with Globus. One hotel was very dirty. Beer cans under the bed, outdoor tables were not cleaned, presentation of food looked uneatable. Another hotel we got stuck in an elevator for 2 hours, manager did not step in for any assistance or there was no apology given. Something complimentary from the hotel should have been offered. Some locations were unfamiliar with the tour guide and his lack of knowledge was disappointing.
The trip began horribly with Virgin Atlantic having failed to load two pieces of luggage for our large group of eight. Luckily they arrived the morning we were to leave the hotel for the tour. So the initial 2 days were tense and expensive due to calls that had to be made to the airline to track the luggage. The hotel was not very helpful in the process. After that, the trip was wonderful. Our tour director and driver were amazing in skill, knowledge and humor. Would have liked another day in Scotland but hard to squeeze in. Best parts were Ireland and Edinburgh, Scotland. Thank you
My one regret is that the last night before leaving London (a Hilton, I believe) we were given a very, very small room, so small that we could not open our suitcases and leave them open, nor even put them down on the carpet. They had to be opened one at a time and laid upon the bed, closed for the night...not good.
We had wonderful time on the Globus trip
The hotels were great with the exception of the Hilton Hotel Metropole. Room smelled, carpets need cleaning, neighborhood was not nice, Closed the bar so we could not get a drink after a west end show and lunch one day was a 20 minute wait with only 8 people currently being served. Went to have lunch in neighborhood but do not like kurdish, iranian, etc. food and the few non ethnic restauratnts were packed.
The Globus staff at the Park Plaza in London left a lot to be desired. This is the first time I have ever been unhappy with any Globus personnel, and this is at least the third Globus tour I have booked with you. The one think I wanted to do in London was unavailable during the time I was in London (Windsor Castle) the concierge at the hotel was much more helpful, I should have gone to them first. The Globus staff also hurried us on the last morning although they themselves did not arrive when we were told to be in the lobby waiting for transportation. Needless to say, I was very displeased with them. I am also sending a message to Globus to say the same thing.
Very knowledgeable tour director. Great itinerary! We really liked it. Accomodations were very pleasant. We will certainly consider another trip thru your service!
Some of the hotels were not that comfortable (Mercure Chester-very bad). The one in Dublin was in a very bad location -no restaurants open at night, only one Pub. The meal in Mercure Hotel was not good. Admissions were charged at many stops along the way. We feel some of them should have been added in the overall price (even at a little more cost). The bus was not comfortable at all - seats very close together. I am very satisfied very the work of Affordable Tours but not of Globus Tours. We heard from other people on the tour that they used Globus before in countries like Italy & Switzerland and were very satisfield. They did not like the one we took at all.
Globus did a wonderful job on this trip. Our tour director was very knowledgeable and did an excellent job. The agent answered all our questions and didn't miss a beat in setting up every aspect of our trip. We were delighted with the results.

Our tour guide was average. Would like more history and culture talks. We won't book a tour that includes ferry transportation again. Hotels were great. Edinburgh was great. We stayed in London 3 extra days. This was needed to properly see a great city.
