An incredible structure with 336 pillars holding up a magnificent vaulted ceiling over an artificial freshwater lake. It can be classed as an early example of recycling as the builders made use of stone structures from earlier temples – one of the most famous “recycled stones”, that can still be seen, is the upside down head of Medusa.ISTANBUL-HAGIA-SOPHIA.jpg

Carved into the volcanic rock around the 4th century BC, this city was formed of 10 levels and built to protect about 60 000 people from religious persecution and war. To ensure they could all survive for up to 3 months the city had its own ventilation system, water supply and moving stone doors with a hot oil defence system. Any attackers trying to enter the city would be stopped in their tracks by the hot oil being poured over their heads!ANKARA.jpg

Question: How many suitcases can I take with me on my trip?
Question: Is Airfare Included in the Price?
Itinerary needs to be updated as a few places have been closed to the public for quite some time. Was very disappointed that Globus didn't offer hot air balloon excursions in Cappadocia. I would have considered a different tour company if I knew this ahead of time. Tour guide, was very knowledgeable and enjoyable.
Sincere caring attitude made me comfortable.
Wonderful trip to turkey, we really enjoyed it, the scenery was magical, big highlight was Cappadocia, wow! The globus tour really covered everything very well, big trip 14 days, got to see all different parts of the country. Loved it, thank you.
One thing I want to see improved is the pick up service at the airport after landing. Globus rep. made us wait to get our ride to our hotel in Istanbul too long. We could have been easily put in a van right after we saw and met the Globus agent. It was waste of time and tiring for us. We barely got any time to freshen up before the welcome dinner and we were reached to the hotel after the planned 6:30 pm meeting and greeting time that was scheduled! We had prepaid for this pick up as well as drop off on the concluding day.
The tour director on our Cosmos trip in Greece was the best I have ever encountered. She was knowledgeable, energetic, efficient, and went above and beyond to add extras to the tour and to try to weld disparate travelers into a cohesive group who enjoyed each other, as well as the sights.
We purchased two optional tours before our tour began. We read that it was best to sign up early to be assured a spot and to save money. When we got to Turkey, each trip cost about $4.00 less than the amount we had prepaid. Maybe not a big deal, but I will not pay in advance again. Our guide in Turkey was fantastic. He is very well informed, organized, helpful, and charming. Any problems with the trip, Isset made up for.
Excellent trip to Turkey! Our guide was very knowledgeable and open to suggestions.

My Globus tour of Turkey from June 5 - June 19 was perfect in every way ! The guide, the driver, the hotels, the food, the sightseeing, the price were all way beyond my expectations. I highly recommend Globus, and I felt it is much better than Trafalgar which I also booked through your agency to France. Thank you again.
