There, he built a modest church to keep the flame of local Christian worship alive. Today the cathedral is known for its stunning mosaics that cover an area of over 64.500sq ft.

First time on a Globus Escape tour and it was beyond my expectations.

I believe the itinerary was fast moving, but not too fast. Each city we had adequate time. I am very pleased.

The seven day trip provided the opportunity to see archaeological sites in Sicily.

Globus is a fabulous tour company. Silvio our tour guide and Francesco the driver were The Best.

As a first time traveler with Globus I was definitely NOT disappointed. We were very well accommodated and definitely fed extremely well. There were also very positive comments made about Globus by others on this tour about their previous experiences.

The beds were pretty hard, but I didn't mind. The days were full with lots of sights that included walking. I fell in better shape than before I left! Palermo was very easy to find our way around. We got a 2 day ticket on a Hop On-Hop Off bus. It was well worth the cost. My favorite place was Mt Etna, despite the very cold, windy day.

Visiting Sicily in early to mid- November is a great time to visit- with good weather and fewer tourists. One thing that I would suggest that tour guides mention when touring the town of Taormina is to visit the great park- theGiardini Pubblici "Duca di Cesaro"
