DAY 3, Saturday - Bangkok City Tour and Grand Palace
Awake this morning in exotic Bangkok, a fascinating mix of ancient and modern. Stop at a fragrant and colorful flower market to see the magnificent array of fresh flowers and learn about the important local flower trade. Next, head to the elaborate Grand Palace, a sprawling complex of temples, halls, and pavilions built around immaculate lawns and gardens. Its main attraction is Wat Phra Kaew, known as the Temple of the Emerald Buddha. Visit a gem factory to watch while the gem stones are cut and set. Continue with a visit to serene Wat Po, with its astonishing giant Reclining Buddha, over 150 feet long and almost 50 feet high. This evening, attend an orientation meeting with your Tour Manager at approximately 5:30 PM, followed by dinner

DAY 4, Sunday - Floating Market
Today, venture to Ratchaburi Province, home to the enchanting Damnoen Saduak Floating Market. In the afternoon, return to your hotel and spend the balance of the day at leisure

DAY 5, Monday - Flight to Chiang Rai, Hill Tribe Visit
Transfer to the airport for your flight to Chiang Rai in northern Thailand. Upon arrival, travel to a remote area in the countryside where you will visit the Mae Chan Hill Tribe communities. Immerse yourself into their fascinating world, and witness the unique way of life and culture of the tribes that is still maintained today. Engage in cultural exchange, and learn about their traditions. Later, check into your hotel with time to settle in before dinner

DAY 6, Tuesday - Buffalo Village and the "Golden Triangle"
Start your adventure at the charming Buffalo Village, where you can see what traditional Thai farm life is like. Then, head to the famous "Golden Triangle" at Sop Ruak. This is where the borders of Thailand, Myanmar, and Laos meet, and where the Mekong River joins the Ruak River. Next, visit the House of Opium to learn about the history of opium, which goes back almost 5,000 years. In the afternoon, enjoy a tasty local lunch before taking a long-tail boat ride on the Mekong River, here you will see local farmers and fishermen at their craft and learn more about how this river played a role in the opium trade. Finish the day by visiting an old teak forest, where you can see giant teak trees that are hundreds of years old. Finally, return to Chiang Rai for the evening and enjoy a delicious dinner with authentic Thai cuisine.

DAY 7, Wednesday - Chiang Mai, Doi Suthep Temple
Travel to Chiang Mai, ancient capital of the Lanna Kingdom. The city was isolated from the world until the 1920s, which helped protect Chiang Mai's distinctive character. Visit the iconic Doi Suthep Temple, northern Thailand's most sacred temple, perched atop a mountain, overlooking the city. The temple is a beautiful example of northern Thai architecture. Marvel at the impressive mythological Naga (dragon-headed serpent) staircase, with 306 steps leading up to the temple grounds. Later, check into your hotel with time to relax before dinner this evening
