After a leisurely morning, head to the airport for your flight to Rovaniemi, capital of Lapland. On arrival, check into the hotel. DAY 5, Friday - Winter Park, Sampo Icebreaker Cruise

Enter a winter wonderland, and explore beautiful ice, and snow sculptures. Your next adventure is a thrilling Sampo icebreaker cruise. Board the legendary Sampo, a massive icebreaker** ship that plows through the frozen waters. Feel the power of the ship as it breaks through the thick ice, creating a path in the frozen sea. During the cruise, savor lunch, and keep your eyes peeled for wildlife, such as seabirds, which are often spotted in the area. Afterward, head back to Rovaniemi**For Jan 13 departure, Winter Park will be replaced with a Gemstone Exhibition, due to its closure.**If Sampo is unavailable, it will be substituted with another icebreaker.

DAY 6, Saturday - Full Day in Rovaniemi, Home Hosted Dinner
Spend the day at leisure to explore Rovaniemi on your own. Perhaps visit Korundi House of Culture, Science Centre Pilke, or simply relax and experience sauna like a local. Chance to participate in the optional Husky Tour. Head to a husky farm and meet a team of enthusiastic and skilled mushers who will guide you through the tour. Get introduced to your team of furry friends while learning about the harnesses, the commands and the art of balancing on the sled, to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience. As you weave through the white wilderness, you will witness the raw beauty of Lapland's nature. Later this evening, join local families in their homes for dinner and learn about their daily life and customs

Our tour manager was outstanding! She went far beyond her job description to make our lives very comfortable. She was knowledgeable and very well organized. We had a small group of 14, all of whom were friendly, helpful, and cooperative. No one was ever late. The itinerary was very good. Great sights and experiences! The food was of high quality and very tasty. We had a setback in the form of an airline strike, but the solution was to take the train, which was a happy experience for all of us, since we got to see a lot of the countryside. We also were fortunate enough to see the Northern Lights on our last night and on our last chance to see them! I recommend this tour without hesitation.
