Morning departure for Arenal, enjoying the views of coffee and sugarcane plantations along the way. DAY 4, Tuesday - Arenal National Park, Travel to Monteverde
In the morning, embark on a brisk two mile hike on a paved trail in Arenal National Park to learn more about the flora and fauna of the area. At the end of the trail, admire panoramic views of the volcano from a lookout tower before continuing to Monteverde. Tonight, go behind-the-scenes on the optional Brewery Tour to discover the hidden world of Monteverde's craft beer, followed by dinner in the brewpub

    The Gate 1 Discovery tours are very good and well worth the extra cost. We had only 16 participants on the trip and everyone got along well. They used the large bus and everyone had their own seat if they wanted it. The hotels on trip were above average.

    Great trip for those that want to visit Normandie and the Mediterranean Coast of France. Plenty of time for lunches and shopping at most stops. Nice to have two nights at each stop.

    Our travel advisor was great and was very friendly and responsive to all of our many questions. She made us feel at ease as she walked us through the process. The Gate 1 Tour Guide and driver for our trip were absolutely wonderful, they really added to the amazing experience we had for the two weeks.
