Question: Have interest in this tour for spring 2020 departure. Can you quote on this?
Question: How many suitcases can I take with me on my trip?
Question: Is Airfare Included in the Price?
Our tour guide, Carmen, was incredible. She is REALLY good at her job, and she alone is what the trip so great.
Breakfast buffet was always included to start our day. Awesome. The sights were what we expected, although Park Guell was not included, & also Sagrada Familis in churh was also not included. Overall, the experience was great! Our tour director Jose was tops. He provided water everyday, on the bus and extra Spanish delicacies to sample. Very knowlegeable & courteous. Included dinners were awesome. Loved the paella in Valencia, tapas in Madrid. Am glad we chose this trip. Met awesome new friends.
Everything about Affordable Tours and the tour provider, Gate 1, was far beyond expectations. Correspondence with them, questions being answered and dealt with, tour planning and the tour director couldn't be improved upon. It was as if I had done all the work meticulously myself. They produced the best tour possible. The only change I would have made was the choice of airline that was offered as "most economical for the value". It was all economy and little value with 2 of the 4 legs being late including a 4 hour delayed arrival at the tour destination. I was worried about the prearranged transportation to the hotel but Gate 1 was aware of the delay and their representative was right there to pick us up when we finally arrived. It was impressively well done.
We had a marvelous time and we will definitely book with Affordable Tours in the future. Thank you for the wonderful trip.
I have been very satisfied with the services and accommodations provided by Gate 1 on both of the tours I have taken with them. The quality of their tour managers, accommodations, and tour busses have been excellent. A great value for the cost.
Group had 39 people, much larger than Friendly Planet tours Ive been on. The Whispers (listening device) didn't work very well for me and many others -- you had to be within 10 feet of the guide and with a large group and narrow streets that meant most people couldn't hear. I reported this multiple times to the tour guide. I missed maybe 50% of all the tours due to this device being subpar.
Our tour operator in Spain Alex Paiva was excellent, and continuously went well beyond the call of duty.
Gate 1 operator tour guide was exceptional and made our vacation a real treat. I see no reason why we could not pay our tour amounts prior to due date as exchange rate movements could make a tour when converting dollars to local currency far more expensive or cheaper.
We were highly dissatisfied for tour to Granada (a part of the overall tour). Alhambra palace in Granada is an UNESCO heritage site and is one of the most beautiful sites in Spain. Gate1 made an arrangement to tour the palace at night where one can not take good pictures nor enjoy the intricate calligraphy details on the walls and other attributes of this beautiful palace because of poor lighting condition at night. Other tour operators such as Globus do not do this. Gate 1 should realize this and make every efforts to conduct the Granada palace tour during the day time.
