We wanted a comprehensive tour of Ireland and that is what we got. We wish we had spent more time in Kylemore Abbey. There was nothing I would have changed on our tour other than more time in Kylemore Abbey. The tour Director was very knowledgeable with the nuances and complexities of the relationship between north and south Ireland. It made a very interesting trip. I was really looking forward to understanding more of Ireland and this trip helped quite a bit.
Globus was a good experience.
Everything was excellent, but the descriptions of the excursions were very understated. The one or two sentence descriptions did not do them justice. Had our tour guide not explained the excursions in detail on our first day, I would have passed on a few and missed out on some amazing adventures.
It was a great trip. Tour director and driver were excellent!
The trip was excellent. The tour guide was amazing. She was extremely knowledgeable. She gave me some good recommendations for books by contemporary Irish writers.
Very happy with our choice of tour operators. The trip was amazing & our tour director was truly exceptional. We have been on a lot of escorted tours so we can readily tell exceptional from good. She was always there to help us, to answer any questions we may have, to attend to the smallest detail, but most importantly she was always available. This includes our coach driver also. He was very involved with us & also tended to our needs. We truly enjoyed them both.
We have traveled with GLOBUS before and it is very reassuring to see that Globus still holds the highest standards by meeting every expectation we had as travelers. Every piece of the trip was carefully planned and the services were delivered by our Tour Director FINOLA with grace, courtesy and encyclopedic insight into the history and culture of the places we visited in beautiful Ireland. Our group was very homogeneous and cooperative with the schedules formulated by Finola. The personalized "Important Travel Documents Booklet" exemplifies what we have said about planning and paying attention to detail. It is a great companion. Bravo! We would like to visit CROATIA and the National; Parks of America. We know we can entrust you with the insight and details of such journeys. PLEASE SEND US INFORMATION.
Great tour director and awesome bus driver
The only complaint I have is that name tags were not provided which made it very difficult to converse with others on the tour.
Our Tour Guide, Paul, was an EXCEPTIONAL fountain of knowledgeable !! My wife and I appreciated his willingness to add some GREAT visits to places not included in the Globus itinerary. His GREAT knowledge was presented with a wonderful sense of humor. His directions were impeccable and he was able to insert additional sights and places that greatly added to the the tour by knowledgeable passengers. Our driver Les was also exceptional, very courteous and helpful. The two worked exceptionally well together.
THE TOUR ESCORT WAS THE VERY BEST(CARMEL). SHE PLANNED EVERYTHING TO A TEE. OUR DRIVER WAS FANTASTIC IN GETTING US FROM PLACE TO PLACE WITHOUT A HITCH. I WOULD LOVE TO GET THEM BOTH AGAIN.
Tour director and bus driver we're top notch, the best.
Some of the options offered where very good. But did not like the medieval dinner. It was too hard for the older people on tour. Too noisy, chairs with no backs and very hard assess to room. Great for younger groups with families.
Another wonderful Globus tour. Excellent tour guide.
It was a great trip; not perfect, but overall satisfactory. The tour guide and bus driver were both outstanding. There were a couple of hotels that were not up to par, and we were disappointed with some of Globus's optional excursions. But it was an enjoyable trip that generally lived up to expectations. The last couple of days of this tour were very slow with not enough to do to stay busy; Globus could have condensed this tour by a day or two and covered the same attractions.
Globus assigned our tour an excellent tour director. She did an excellent job running the tour. The hotel rooms were adequate. Only once did we feel Globus did a poor job of arranging things to see.
The tour was more than I expected it to be - we were very fortunate to have a terrific guide and bus operator. The only difficult part was those days when we had to pack and unpack without any additional time to live out of our luggage. Those two day stays were nice, and the morning meets that were 8 am or so was nice.
When you see a 5-star hotel in Ireland and most European hotels, it is not the same 5-star quality that we have here in the U.S. So what I am saying is that this is not Globus' fault, but rather the country visited's culture. All of the tours I have taken with Globus offer numerous experiences related to that particular country.
My third trip with Globus. Have absolutely no complaints. As usual, the bus driver and the tour guide were excellent. Would travel with them again.
Globus has done a wonderful and an exciting itinerary with our tour guide, who grew up in Ireland and is very knowledgeable about the history of the country. What an amazing tour we had!
The Tour Director and Bus Driver were excellent. The Globus tour transpired exactly as advertised. The itinerary was excellent, however, this is the first escorted tour in which we felt overly rushed to maintain the schedule. In fact, two of the locations I expressly wanted to visit (St. Patrick's Cathedral in Dublin and the Blarney Stone) we were unable to see because of time constraints. It seemed the tour director had to have the bus leave in order to get to optional (i.e. extra cost) tours that afternoon and evening. Optional tours seemed to be more important than allowing guests to visit these locations. Very disappointed.
Our trip to Ireland was amazing. Our Globus tour guide was knowledgeable and took care of everything for us. Our driver was a good driver, professional and courteous., I returned back to work on Monday and told everyone how lovely Ireland was and that I highly recommend Globus.
Our trip was wonderful. Our tour director was fantastic. She provided us with lots of information on the history of Ireland and in general, the places we were visiting. She was energetic and humorous. Our driver was a terrific and safe driver. He was very courteous as well. Overall, we have enjoyed our trip very much.
Everything was first class and exceeded my expectitions.
Great tour of the coastal cities/parks/sites of Republic of & Northern Ireland. Great director & driver, four-star accommodations, excellent food, enjoyable special excursions. Very nicely done. I will say tho' that this is a somewhat demanding type of vacation -- up at six a.m., bags out for porters by seven or seven-fifteen, breakfast complete & on the coach by eight or eight-fifteen. Several sites each day. Nice breakfasts each day. On own for lunch most of time. Dinner included most days. Dinners tended to be seven to seven-thirty or even once, later. Moved to new hotel each morning except, I think, two. So go-go-go. We took advantage of every additional excursion, which were good, but left us less time for ourselves. This can be tiring. If you've been on the Highlands and Islands tour of Scotland, you'll recognize the pattern of some of the excursions: cabaret with dinner, pub visit with singer, visit to eye-popping manor house. All good. Visited Guinness factory which was lots of fun--included two free drinks and great dinner. We had 44-pax, brand-new Mercedes coach, with WiFi. Good crowd. Guide & other guides at various sites were all top-notch. Got lots of laughs from the tales & jokes of the various guides. Driver did a great job!
This was our second trip with Globus and we are thinking of doing another one with them.
I have no complaints about Globus. I thought they did an excellent job and my tour consultant, was helpful, knowledgeable, polite, and made planning for my trip stress free.
2 of the hotels we stayed were unacceptable some aspects of the tour need to be altered like the arrival time or the length of the time there. The material in the red book sent out before the trip needs to be updated. I suggest all flights be direct if possible (to Ireland) going through London is a nightmare.
Globus fell below my expectations due to the short times available at Cliff of Moher, Giants Causeway, Titanic exhibition, and the Blarney Castle. I know that many miles needed to be covered, but a better way would have been to travel a little bit later in the afternoon. Bus driver rating 1 to 10. I gave him a 1. The tour director was knowledgable but very opinionated. I gave him a 5. I have already let Globus know how I felt the trip had gone. One hotel was a grand old place, but the need of hot water was in short supply. They did made good at the dinner table (Great Northern Hotel). I gave the whole tour a (#5) and question my travels again with Globus.
Everything went as was planned. The trip was really nice.
The Granville hotel was a disappointment. There was no ironing board and the room was small. All other accomodations exceeded our expectations.
The Globus staff Guide Director and driver were outstanding. very informative and always making sure that everyone was enjoying the trip. She made the trip memorable.
The accommodations were much better than I had expected given the price of the tour vs. competitor pricing. My agent at Affordale tours was very helpful with some of my last minute requests.
Our trip went off without any problems It was a great trip everything from booking it to the flights and the Tour's guide was fantastic.
The trip was a trip of a life time.
The trip was exactly what I expected
would have preferred more sightseeing stops and less shopping stops on the trip.
This was my first tour ... I prefer to travel alone, not in a group. However, I think our tour guide provided a lot of information and we saw more this way than we would have on our own. the guide was escellent as was the staff in getting us on our way!!!

The Scenic Ireland tour with Global was very much enjoyed. We might choose another intinery next time that allowed us to stay in the locations we loved the most after taking this tour that sampled alot of territory. A few of the hotels did not have air conditioners with the weather being unusually warmer in the June. Most did not offer top sheets or wash cloths but we knew that and took some with us. Some people might be surprised to find out this on their trips.
