My tour guide was kind courteous and knowledgeable. She went out of her way to make things pleasant for us. Unfortunately the Ibis hotel in Lausanne was disappointing. The location was inaccessible to restaurants and public transportation without major walking. It was an isolated area. The air conditioning was not working for our 2 day stay and our guide was not informed until check in. Our driver was amazing. We felt very safe on the long twisting roads.
The Cosmos tour director & driver were excellent. The CosmosGO app was especially helpful and provided connecting gate information often before the airline notices. This was greatly appreciated especially for tight connections. The only issue was that Cosmos booked 45 people for this trip; 5 who tested positive for Covid19, so smaller groups would have been better. We learned later that they switched people from a later tour that was canceled due to size.
Our tour guide was amazing. We'll recommend it. Thanks for the good job you did.
Kevin worked tirelessly to help my mom and I plan a PHENOMENAL Switzerland trip. I'll recommend him to everyone. We even reached back to him while overseas and he quickly assisted.
Marco and driver Giovanni were excellent. Very professional.
Cosmos was very professionally run, and was very accommodating. Worth the money.
My expectations were surpassed. I loved the varied travel experiences. Beautiful scenery, fascinating architecture, delicious food and great people.
Day 2 - basically I remember nothing about Appenzell, but we stopped in Liechtenstein and there was one souvenir open - SUNDAY! and everything was closed!!! . The shop was so crowded with other tours you could hardly look and get around in there. Then we went up high on the mountain and there was a restroom there. We could get our if we wanted to. There was snow up there and it was pretty - but just a potty break. Then we went on to St. Moritz to stay for 2 days of leisure she said. There is a big description of how great St. Moritz is in your itinerary - but it was off season and Sunday when we arrived and it was basically a dead town. The way our tour director gave out keys was not good. She would take the key from the hotel clerk and call out the name of who it was and they would get their key and try to get up the very small elevator. The hotel was very quaint and lovely and the dinner and breakfast very good. This was considered our leisure time - but really nothing to do as it was off season. The upscale boutiques were closed and everything else. Monday my daughter and I and a new friend from Australia caught the bus and went to a pastry shop she had found on-line that was open. We also rode the bus around its route twice just to have something to do and see the town. That was all there was to do there - despite the elaborate Day 3 description. Day 3: AT LEISURE IN ST. MORITZ. Enjoy a whole day to explore this scenic Engadine valley resort. Renowned for its stunning forest, lake, and mountain setting and an average of 322 days of sunshine per year, St. Moritz is comprised of two villages separated by a mile of lake shore St. Moritz Dorf and St. Moritz Bad. Extending up the slope from the lake, terraced Dorf is a tapestry of grand hotels, upscale boutiques, and traditional Engadine architecture, characterized by arched wooden doors, small deep-set windows, and artistically etched facades. Neighboring Bad is known for its ice rink, mineral and mud baths, and energetic nightlife. (B) Day 4 - we had the best part of the trip on the Bernina Express - it went through the beautiful alps and was awesome to see the beauty. We ended up in a Italian town Tirano and had lunch. I am not going through the itinerary any more at this point - but descriptions should be based on the time of year it is and what you can actually see - it seemed like our tour director knew a lot about every area - but would end up saying --but unfortunately it is closed or something like that - due to it being Sunday or lunch time. Trips should be planned so we can see the things that the tour director talks about. Switzerland is beautiful but 4 days of leisure on a ten day trip at places where you really have limited access. One hotel was way away from the town of Lausanne on a leisure day. My daughter looked on-line and called uber to take us to a nearby mall that was open. Thanks for the opportunity to vent. We left ther
Our tour guide (Tomas) was very good. Did a lot of explaining about what we were seeing etc.Was always friendly and helpful. I would have liked more dinners included. Other tours we were on had all dinners and brkf. included.
Hotel in lusanne was not close to city. Hotel in Lugano was far below expected cosmos standard-I would hesitate to give it one star.dinners that were included were very bland and lacked local flavors. Outside of this trip was great-as advetised.
We thoroughly enjoyed our tour to Switzerland with Cosmos Tours. Our tour director Mihaela and Bus driver Giovanni made our experience even more enjoyable. Both were very professional and had great personalities. The itinerary was fantastic and we enjoyed every stop we made. Wish we could have spent one more day in Zermat. Our hotels were nice at each place we stayed with the exception of one. The hotel had no a/c and the room was not up to the standards we expect. The one good thing about the hotel was location. We weren't far from the city center. Our meals were good at each hotel that were included in our tour. We also enjoyed all the optional excursions that we booked.
Cosmos is an affordable Travel unit of the larger company Globus and offers just that. Tour packages at affordable rates! The tour guide and the driver were very experienced, helpful and polite. The hotels are not the best and sometimes out of the main town but that is compensated by offering free travel passes on public transport. Overall, the experience was good and I would recommend taking a tour if you are short on time to plan. Otherwise, if you have the time and energy, booking and planning by yourself if the best option.
The tour director and the driver both were excellent. Certain hotels were just ok but it was alright and bearable. Lusanne 2 day trip should be shortened and I would recommend to replace by Interlaken /Lucern.
We could not have asked for a better tour guide or driver. The tour guide went out of his way to help us make the most of our trip.
Excellent tour- Enjoyed it very much. I recommend the tour to anyone. It was a fun trip. Thanks.
This is my second trip with Cosmos . The only common thing I have observed is the tour director or guide was not very accommodating. As a solo traveler and a senior woman I have lots of questions and sometimes things he have said have to be repeated as we don't get it the first time they say it and by this they get irritated and give you a not so nice and unwelcoming look.I hope that Cosmos can improve their customer service skills so all travelers will enjoy their much earned trip as traveling is getting expensive to do. Thanks. .
This tour was well organized and the itineraries are fantastic. The Bernina Express was out of this world. We got lucky with the weather we had snow and sunshine through out. Switzerland should never be missed, it's such a beautiful country. The best hotel in this tour is the Novotel Zurich West in terms of location, breakfast, and dinner. It's plus or minus on the other accommodations. The tour director was well informed about the places plus her personality was superb for the job. The driver was very professional. It was worth all the money and effort we invested.
The tour was fast-paced and brought us to stunningly beautiful and exciting places we never thought we would have an opportunity to see or visit. The trip went far above our expectations. Daily bus trips and train excursions were delightful, informative, and provided a break in the day. Our tour guide was excellent and went well beyond the call of duty to ensure our comfort and pleasure. Highly recommended.
Amazing experience! Our tour director was knowledgeable, informative, helpful and funny. Excursions was enjoyable. Had a great time.
This tour was the best tour we have ever had. The itinerary arrangement was superb was conducted in a very professional way. We are very pleased with the Cosmos Tour Director and the Cosmos Driver. They were very good and very helpful. Anybody who would like to visit Switzerland we would like to suggest this tour instead of the shorter other Switzerland tour. Overall during this trip we were able to visit 4 mountain peaks by train & cable car combined.
Travel director was excellent. I would recommend her to my friends.
I am a single traveler and I booked a transfer from the airport in Zurich. I waited 2.5 hours before I decided to take a taxi to the hotel. Lucky for me, I received a refund for the taxi ride. Later, I received the same type of treatment for an optional excursion I booked. I was a minute late to the hotel lobby, but the bus already departed. I was wondering why the tour guide didn't check the list and noticed that I wasn't present when she performed the headcount. The group ended up waiting probably more than 5 minutes at a meeting point in Lucerne that I wasn't sure about the location. So I could have made the trip had the tour guide did a better headcount and just waited a minute more at the hotel. It's ironic that this happened to another fellow traveler the day before and I didn't get the same treatment. The tour guide called and waited approximately 10 minutes or more for another traveler who was late to an optional excursion the previous night. Because of this experience, I will more than likely not book another tour with Cosmos as I've never been left before on any previous tours.
All included diners were extremely cheap. Too few of sightseeing excursions were included. We had to buy all optional ones that added quite a bit to the cost.
The hotels we stayed in were not as expected. The bed were very uncomfortable, one of the hotel had WIi-fi only in the lobby and the last hotel had no Wi-fi at all. The 4 dinners that were offered were not as expected. The last Cosmos dinner we had they offered fish, which I got sick as well as other people in our group, also there should be a farewell dinner for the group which this trip did not includ. Some of the excursions should have been included in the trip. All of the excursions are over priced.
I would be happy to spend more time at the area of Interlaken and have at least an excursion there.
Tour was very organized and exceeded my expections. great experience would book another trip with your co again. thanks.
Hello! We just got back from Switzerland yesterday. And let me tell you, Switzerland is one of the most amazing places in the world. It was worth every dime spent on this trip. I see myself booking a tour with you and Cosmos again. We had such a wonderful time. Cosmos is very organized and highly recommend this company and this tour. The Tour Director is one of the best in the industry. The Driver is the safest driver you can ask for. The hotels are clean and comfortable. I love the fact that we didn't have to worry about our luggages, they took care of everything. The tour itself is not very hectic, in fact, we have a lot of free time to explore. I wouldn't mind paying extra though for some of the meals to be included because what my husband and I noticed was, we ended up paying more eating out. The cost of food in Europe is very expensive. I will send you pictures of the trip. I'm looking forward to booking a tour with you again in the near future because we are looking into traveling again sometime in January 2012 in either Germany or Scandinavia
Everything was super! Great trip! Cosmos tour director and driver were outstanding.

Some of the rooms were a little far from the main town but it was nothing I didn’t expect. The city of Lausanne was quite a distance from our hotel. Some of rooms were a little small but comfortable. Two of the rooms were spectacular and close to the town. No major complaints about the rooms.
