Question: How many suitcases can I take with me on my trip?
Question: Is Airfare Included in the Price?
There were at least 2 hotels with marginal to low accomodations. Apollonia Hotel - I understand is a family run business utilizing services of family members but can do better if not best! Shower - bath tub with uneven floor is a safety risk, no mats provided, shower knob non functional - water won’t come out at the upper spout. No cups provided in the bathroom for use. Bed hard & uncomfortable; Accessories (shampoo/ conditioner) plastic bottles half-filled. Breakfast - non appealing (coffee are instant ones) dinner was ok & personally served in portions so wastes are controlled.
The tour guide was great and the accommodations were superb! The guides assistant was a nice touch in Cusco and Machu Picchu.
Our guide and driver are both exceptional. I will definitely go on another trip knowing you have such high quality staff.
The weather condition in Amazon was too hot with no rooms or any places having air conditioning. Also, the elevations from sea level in Cusco was on the border of dangerous which Gate1 must put a big warning on this particular tour.
Our Gate 1 trip to South Africa was very good. Our guide John Finch was very informative and he ran the trip very smoothly.
Phi was the best tour guide I have had with Gate 1. He should be acknowledged for tour manager of the year.
Mr.Aziz our tour manager is excellent knowledgeable and helpful to every concern by the tour members. Couldn't have asked for any better tour manager than him. The trip is worth every penny and more than I expected. Keep up the best quality people.
Everything was as advertised. We enjoyed the trip thoroughly. One complaint: At the farewell dinner the band and the management passed around a tip basket. This didn't sit well with me because I understand that "all" tour gratuities are supposed to be included.
I've been happy with gate1 travel, very organized. This was my second trip with Gate 1 and will plan all my trips with them, via Affordable Tours.
Great trip
The tour guide was very informative and helpful. The only issue was that not all of the hotels is we stayed at had English speaking news channels. Only the last hotel in Barcelona had CNN, BBC, and NBC. The rest of the hotels did not have an English speaking newschannel. Thank you.
Our tour director Boom… really took care of us and went far and beyond!
This was a wonderful trip delivering everything as advertised plus. It was beyond our expectations mostly due to our tour guide Alec and the driver Thomas. Both were professional with a mixture of competence, knowledge, humor and experience. Our group was only 18 and everyone was accomodating and respectful of the guidelines to make this a great experience.
Gate 1 tour of Turkey was one of the best, if not the best. Sayat , our tour manager, was exceptionally helpful and professional. His thorough knowledge of history, archeology, geography made our journey fulfilling. I would strongly recommend this tour, especially if Sayat will lead it. I am also impressed with our driver Tahir who was very careful and expertly maneuvered the bus in those tight lanes .

Wonderful experience in every way. Tour guide (Eva) was exceptional. Knowledgeable about history, mythology, art, architecture and culture. She was engaging, efficient, and fun to be around. Hotels were first rate, meals were consistently good, and the weather in Greece in November was perfect. Well beyond our expectations.
