Question: How many suitcases can I take with me on my trip?
Question: Is Airfare Included in the Price?
As pleased as always with Avalon. Very courteous and professional while making you feel special and comfortable.
The cruise was wonderful. The only thing that made us a little uncomfortable was the age of the other cruise passengers. I know that you cannot control this matter, however, we felt isolated due to the elderly clientele. We were able to find one couple that was in our age bracket. We pretty much ignored the other passengers and enjoyed the trip.
Extremely pleased with the entire experience--- the Avalon on-board staff were friendly, went out of their way to be helpful, spoke perfect English (my French is lacking...) and were obviously well-trained and motivated. The food and ship were top notch. I enjoyed the shore excursions, run by very able guides. Wish I could find something to complain about but I loved every minute.
The riverboat, excursions, staff, and meals were wonderful - just what I expected. And we had a bonus: the cruise director must have had many queries about Giverney and Monet's home, because on arrival day she was working to get the buses and guides in place so that we could stop there on April 2, when it was reopened. Just as I had suggested. I'm so glad we did; it was a beautiful day, gardens were more in bloom than I expected, and it was a special bonus.
Overall we enjoyed the trip but loss of 1/2 day in Paris cast a bad light on whole tour. Also the tour director was not the best.
This river cruise is the most interesting, relaxing vacation I have taken, to date. The Avalon staff and the Affordable Tours staff were excellent. I would book with both of them in the future.

Accommodations were comfortable, meals were excellent, and the on shore excursions were well-organized and enjoyable. In summary, we would not hesitate in booking another voyage with Avalon.
