Question: What cruise line?
Question: Do I have to pay for the trip all at once? Can you assist with airfare?
Question: How many suitcases can I take with me on my trip?
Question: Is Airfare Included in the Price?
Communications was inadequate. Because we were two individuals and not a couple. All communication went to one party only. Too many separate tour guides requiring much more in tips than I had budgeted. Other tours had one tour guide only. Hotel in Athens not in good area. Too remote from shopping attractions etc.
This was my fifth Globus vacation! I loved numbers 1-4. I took the Italian Mosaic just before the Iconic Aegean. The Italian Mosaic was spectacular! The tour director and every tour participant made the trip, as did the destination. Unfortunately, I cannot say the same for the Iconic Aegean. The destinations were fabulous! I feel that Globus let us down. Let me explain. The tour started with a drink only, after a 30 minute meeting with Beverly. She was leaving to take a different group to dinner, so the 10 of us that just met were left on our own. The next day, we had a local guide on a bus. There were two people from a different hotel, and a group of about 20 from a third hotel. We were all put together for the day to explore Athens and then to go to a dinner show that night. The groups never had a chance to introduce ourselves or even mingle. The next day, Beverly was back and she "directed us" throughout the cruise, as I would expect of a Globus tour. However, our little group of ten was put with yet another group of travelers, a group of 18 that had just spent the past week together traveling throughout Greece. So, they knew each other, had gelled as a group, and didn't really get a chance to meet the ten of us. Even though we met with Beverly in the same location before each tour, it took 3 out of the 4 days on the boat for us to mingle. That is not Beverly's fault. The boat was big and we were busy! As a single traveler, I am grateful to my new friends from Australia that stuck with me from Day 1, or I would have been a very lonely tourist! At the end of the tour, the only people that exchanged emails and pictures with me, was my new friends from Down Under. The "other group" had an email list that they shared only between them, and I assume that list was generated before they came on the cruise portion of their vacation. This is not what I expect of a Globus trip! I expect to meet a group of travelers and spend the vacation together. If that is not the intent of Globus, then it should be advertised as such!
Exceeded expectations in most all categories. The excursion content and tour guides and director were exceptional and delivered with excellent communications and congenitality. The ship's food and beverage selection and quality were very good . The Globus pre-trip excursion site was inadequate and not of any value.
We had a great experience. Was a wonderful trip and the tour Director from Globus went above and beyond to make our vacation very special. We received VIP treatment at all times.
Entire ship needs updating! I would not recommend this tour to anyone! Food and entertainment was Lacking. Not enough time on some islands. Excursions extremely overpriced for what you get! Very disappointed with this trip
We had the best tour guide and a wonderful experience overall
