The Italian Mosaic tour was a fabulous experience. ALL the tours I have taken with Globus have been fabulous. The accommodations were some of the best ever, and the food was indescribably delicious at every meal. Everything was so well planned in advanced that there was never a moment that I had to worry about where I was supposed to be at a particular time. Everything was clear. Moreover, everything was prearranged. If the activity was a part of the tour or if it was an optional excursion, there was never a last minute rush here or there to get to the right place at the right time. It always proceeded smoothly like clockwork. Silvana is one of the best tour guides ever. Everyone should be so lucky to have someone as organize as she is. She kept everything clear and flowing smoothly.
Globus needs to remove the trip to the glacier in Seward from the itinerary. It was overbooked. Six people were seated at tables designed for four people ( which is a big problem because dinner is served on this trip.) The seas were very rough that day. Several people became sea sick. The trip should not have taken place. But it did because the operator did not want to refund the price and the food was already prepared. Furthermore viewing this glacier was very similar to the the glacier/trip in Valdez. Clearly this trip was redundant and not necessary.
