The exploration of these sub-Antarctic islands includes a hike (weather and conditions permitting) at crescent-shaped Half Moon Island, to a view point that is a popular place to look for whales in the bay facing towards the Bransfield Strait. At lunar-like Deception Island, sail into the natural harbor of this volcanic island and view the abandoned whaling station known as Hektor.
