DAY 1, Friday - Depart for GreeceDepart for Greece
DAY 2, Saturday - Arrive in Athens
Arrive in Athens, the classical capital of Greece and transfer to your hotel. The remainder of the day is at leisure to discover this city known as the cradle of Western Civilization and the birthplace of democracy. Your tour will begin with an orientation meeting with your Tour Manager at approximately 6 PM, followed by dinner at a local restaurant. We recommend that you select flights which arrive no later than 4 PM

DAY 3, Sunday - Athens & Acropolis Walking Tour
Begin the day with a walking tour of Athens and view some of its iconic landmarks. Next, visit the Acropolis, the ancient architectural masterpiece built during the Golden Age of Athens, crowned by the Parthenon, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Balance of the day is at leisure. Tonight, discover the city's vibrant nightlife

DAY 4, Monday - Flight to Ioannina, Travel to Zagori Region, Hike Vradeto Trail
Transfer to the airport this morning, for your flight to Ioannina, in the northwestern part of Greece. Upon arrival, travel to Zagori region and enjoy a light lunch at a traditional cafe. In the afternoon, begin your hike along a path that takes you through beautiful meadows to Beloi viewpoint at an elevation of 4600 feet. Admire panoramic views of Vikos Gorge before returning to Vradeto. Then, head to Monodendri village to visit the monastery of Agia Paraskevi, built on the edge of a cliff. Walk to Oxya viewpoint, just outside the village, passing through the stone forest. Afterward, check into your hotel. Tonight, dinner is at the hotel

DAY 5, Tuesday - Zagori Arch Stone Bridges Walking Tour
Discover the natural beauty of the area's villages and historic arch stone bridges, during your hike today. Start at the impressive arch stone bridge of Kokkoris, overlooking the Vikos Canyon. Continue your hike along beautiful cobbled footpaths, surrounded by breathtaking scenery of dramatic cliffs, and lush forests. View the arch stone bridges of Misios, Plakidas, Lazaridis, Myli and Arkouda. Along the way you will visit the traditional stone-made villages of Kipi and Koukouli. Return to your hotel for dinner

DAY 6, Wednesday - Klidonia to Aristi Hike, Papigo Village, Meteora
This morning, travel to the western Zagori region. Arrive at the village of Klidonia and begin your hike* from the imposing arch stone bridge. The path runs along the banks of the crystal-clear Voidomatis River, through shaded woods, towards the arch bridge of Arisiti, offering beautiful vews of the area. Following your hike, proceed to the charming village of Papigo for light lunch at a family-run cafe. In the afternoon, visit the natural pools of Ovires, rich in flora and fauna before traveling to Meteora in central Greece for overnight. Tonight, dinner is at the hotel*Trails may be slippery when wet.

DAY 7, Thursday - Meteora Hiking Trail, Visit Monasteries
During your hike today, you will explore the spectacular scenery of Meteora, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Follow the hiking paths that once were used by the ancient monks and visit the Eastern Orthodox monasteries, nestled perilously close to the edge of bizarre rock formations. Visit one of the monasteries. Following free time for lunch, visit a family-run winery. Learn about the wine making process in the area during your tour through the vineyard. Afterward, taste some of the wines before heading back to your hotel

DAY 8, Friday - Meteora Hike, Travel to Athens
After checking out of the hotel this morning, embark on a hike* around Meteora. Starting from the village square of Kastraki, hike all the way to the Adrachti rock pillar, offering vistas over the Peneios Valley. Return to Kastraki and visit the Museum of Geological Formations of Meteora. Gain insight into the geological formation of the region and view displays of minerals and fossils. Afterward, depart for Athens. Arrive and check into your hotel. Tonight at dinner, bid farewell to your Tour Manager hotel*Trails may be slippery when wet.

The Radisson Hotel was way above expectations and all others were very nice. The bus with wifi and charging ability was very nice and allowed me to share the trip with others while traveling. The food was extremely good and many more choices than expected. All flights, pickups and delivery were accomplished on time and with ease.
