Questions & Answers Ask A Question
Question: How many suitcases can I take with me on my trip?
Question: Is Airfare Included in the Price?
The Gate 1 tour guide was wonderful. The boat trip on the Mekong was very nice. Wine, beer, and soft drinks were provided free of charge at lunch and dinner. Most of the meals were Vietnamese food. The staff did a good job of providing alternative food for those that did not eat seafood. Siem Reap was beautiful. We did not choose the tour that continued in to Hanoi which was advertised as two days in Hanoi. However, their flight didn't arrive until 10:30 pm so an additional day in Siem Reap and had only one day in Hanoi.
Great tour manager, friendly, knowledgable, caring
Just completed 12/19-12/31 Tunisia Discovery Tour. Very disappointed with the accommodations in some of the areas as a few of the hotels were sub-par. In one hotel we had no hot water whatsoever. The food in three of the hotels was poor. The bus was uncomfortable, seats were peeling, it was extremely loud while on highways, the sound system poor, and we could hardly hear the tour manager. I feel these are unacceptable for a Gate 1 tours. The trip is rigorous which was fine for me but it needs to be better explained in the description of the trip for those who have mobility issues.
Highly recommended and highly satisfied with this tour. Enjoyed all the Xmas markets n the food delicious.
All my hotel rooms were 4stars, transportation had excellent drivers.
I always use you because all of my past experiences were most enjoyable and I expected the same. I invited four friends on this trip and they all enjoyed the tour immensely. We could not have asked Our tour manager 24/7 for anything else(he was awesome,) Your trainee Alex is on a great trajectory. (THE ENTIRE TEAM WAS GREAT.) PS I can't remember getting anything for recommendations !!!!
The Gate 1 Vienna to Prague river cruise was absolutely amazing. I plan to take additional river cruises and book with Affordable tours for best value and excellent service.
Excellent hotels, friendly, knowledgeable tour guide. All aspects top notch.
Travel was beyond expectation!!!!
Gate1 exceeded my expectations with this trip. Our guide Carmine was very knowledgeable, kind and patient with our group. He was there every step of the way for all of our historical or present day questions. He is a valuable asset to your company as he made our trip what it was with his funny commentary to the fun little gifts he gave out. Our local guides were very informative and passionate about their topics of discussion. From the hotel rooms, to the tours and travel, every detail was perfectly planned and executed.
There were at least 2 hotels with marginal to low accomodations. Apollonia Hotel - I understand is a family run business utilizing services of family members but can do better if not best! Shower - bath tub with uneven floor is a safety risk, no mats provided, shower knob non functional - water won’t come out at the upper spout. No cups provided in the bathroom for use. Bed hard & uncomfortable; Accessories (shampoo/ conditioner) plastic bottles half-filled. Breakfast - non appealing (coffee are instant ones) dinner was ok & personally served in portions so wastes are controlled.
Wonderful experience in every way. Tour guide (Eva) was exceptional. Knowledgeable about history, mythology, art, architecture and culture. She was engaging, efficient, and fun to be around. Hotels were first rate, meals were consistently good, and the weather in Greece in November was perfect. Well beyond our expectations.
The tour guide was great and the accommodations were superb! The guides assistant was a nice touch in Cusco and Machu Picchu.
Gate 1 travel is the best! We are very satisfied with their services, especially with our tour director and our bus driver, they are both professional.

I’m only concerned with Gate 1 misleading me with the last day that we were supposed to spend another night at the hotel on Dec 30th only to find out that it is not true. I was not able to clarify with my affordable agent as she was off that day. So I called gate 1 instead before booking my own airfare.
