Question: How many suitcases can I take with me on my trip?
Question: Is Airfare Included in the Price?
My trip to Greece was wonderful! I will always only use AffordableTours.com to book my trips, especially the trips overseas.
It should be noted that this is an Island Hopper, not a bus tour, as some of the guests were confused. I enjoyed the tour immensely, and our TD, was gracious, attentive, and ever-helpful. Greece is stunning, and I hope to return. I strongly suggest traveling in "shoulder season" to avoid massive crowds.
The trip went beautifully, as we expected. All arrangements were thoughtfully made for this senior couple. Special thanks to Steve, great job. Flawless planning paid off!
An excursion listed on the original Trafalgar tour was dropped from the itinerary. Our tour guide in Athens managed to get our group individual tickets for this event when we told him we expected to attend.
Trafalgar's Greek Island Hopper was above my expectations. The tour director went above and beyond to ensure each guest had a memorable experience. The trip was to include leisure time and if you choose to you could relax at the hotel pools. The tour director also gave the guests who wanted to explore various options and on many occasions accompanied us. I traveled alone and was completely at ease.
We had a great tour director from Trafalgar named Nico. He was very informative and attentive to everyone on the trip.
Excellent trip, worth the price paid. Well organized, professional tour director & knowledgeable local guides
Great trip
Accommodations were excellent as was the tour person, Ross. Loved that there was so much free time but yet he gave us great upfront info about each area as we arrived.
I wish there was a category between agree and disagree. The first 2 of the 3 hotels we stayed at were lovely. The accommodations in Santorini, not so much. The grounds and pool areas were beautiful but the inside of our rooms were average at best. While I understand that we were in Greece the week before their true season begins, I would have expected that deck furniture on the rooms that were being used would have been in place. The mattresses were awful. The food not much better. Our optional tours were enjoyable but there were changes made to them because some things were not open for the season yet. While I completely understand that, it was incredibly annoying that our tour director could not give us any details. Her standard line was...oh its a lovely tour. But what was on the tour was unknown until you were on it. The local tour guides were incredible. I'm not sure who chooses the restaurants for the meals included on the trip. Our first night, we did not go to a restaurant that provided a traditional greek meal. They did not even offer us coffee, On top of that, it was so loud that you could not even talk to the person sitting next to you. The restaurant we went to in Mykonos placed one potato sliced in quarters on a plate for every 4 people. The portions were meager and the quality was not even average. The food at El Greco was nothing to brag about. Most of us thought that some of the food from our 1st dinner was back out at the breakfast buffet. Our tour director was not organized and did not have any details about our optional tours. She handed out name tags but never introduced everyone to each other. The name tags would not hang properly unless you had a pocket on your shirt and not one person wore them. We were merged with a Cost Saver group when we left Athens who then stayed at the same hotels as us and the same tours. Many repeat Trafalgar customers were very angry about this since there was a difference in what the two groups paid. Honestly, their tour director was so much better than ours that I was just relieved to have someone who was knowledgeable and organized. I would throw away the evaluations for that we filled out in Greece. They were labeled with our names and they did not seal nor was an envelope provided. It was uncomfortable trying to fill them with our tour director standing there waiting. I think the thing that speaks loudest is that not one person signed up for our final dinner which was a shame because it was a nice group of people. Despite all of the negatives, we managed to find great restaurants on our own and enjoyed the trip. There was just no way we would let the details spoil being in the Greek Islands. I won't say that I would never take another trip with Trafalgar but I would think about it long and hard before we did. The odds are we would try another company first.
Greece was everything I hoped for and Trafalgar tour guide was wonderful. A little too many "extras," but I knew that going into the trip. In the future, I will try to find a tour company that includes more excursions with less leisure time.
It was disappointing to let us know at the last minute that our hotels had switched. We were expecting to stay at the hotel shown on the picture -- right on the beach -- yet this did not happen in Mykonos.
I was very pleased with the tour. The guide was great and we had a wonderful time.
