"Contrast of Switzerland 2022" by Trafalgar was excellent and what make it extraordinary and exceptional is the tour director Paul. We would do any trip with him again.
This was an excellent trip. It had some adventure to it and had outside oriented excursions. The tour director was outstanding. The dinner excursion in Zermatt was absolutely horrible.
The tour was well organized and the Tour Director was very knowledgable and provided valuable information. Portering of large luggage was well done and very beneficial. The snow capped peaks in Switzerland were spectacular. The following could be improved: 1. Have name tags and a intro session the first day. I did not meet 1/3 of the people. 2. Provide weather forecasts daily. I got caught in the rain twice. 3. The Tour Director spoke in meters and centigrade. He needs to convert for Americans. 4. Eliminate St. Moritz and add Interlaken. St. Moritz did not look upscale. 4. Reverse sequence of cities. Start with Lucerne and end with Zermatt. After Zermatt, the scenery looked bland and uninteresting. 5. Do not schedule Air Canada on a return flight. Flying into Toronto added unnecessary hours to the trip. The Air Canada seats are uncomfortable, and lack knee room. There was no entertainment.
Highly satisfied with the hotels. The locations and the breakfasts were exquisite! Wish to know the exact and enough information for each day for us to plan and make decisions. Price benefits (or no such benefits) as part of the group package/purchase should be transparent to the customers.
The trip lived up to expectations and more. Had a fabulous tour guide Maria who was so knowledge and happy. Group was only 20 people perfect size since we were on and off trains with just a few minutes to spare. Scenery like the picture books with snow alps, green valleys and springtime in bloom. I would recommend train tour as bags out in the hote 7aml and next you see them is in the hotel that night. The tour includes a fair amount of walking so not suitable for disabled or walking impaired. Good having two nights in Zermatt and Lucerne. Lucerne is my favorite city, the river, the lake, old town and the Lion. Cathedrals were amazing and had a wonderful feel about the city. Felt very safe in all the cities we visited.. Hotels were located by the rain stations and convenient to old towns for walking. Had optional tours or just time to rest and enjoy downtime. Best chocolate and food very tasty.
We did have good time in Switzerland. The only problem is the term is too short and was unable to see more. By train travel was new experience to us, the best part was went through the Alps valley and had seen beautiful snow-caped mountains. The disadvantage is we missed the capital of Swiss which is a UNESCO site. The tour leader was very nice and full-experienced, he organized everywhere and almost everything for this group. That's the best part of this trip.
