Question: Tell me about the bus.
Question: How many suitcases can I take with me on my trip?
Question: Is Airfare Included in the Price?
The trip was excellent, and the tour operator was very knowledgeable and helpful.
Trafalgar did a great job! The tour director was great, the driver skilled, the hotels were modern, the local guides were knowledgeable so overall it was a good way to experience these Central European capitals in a 10 day tour.
We were pleasantly surprised to find Trafalgar had added additional dinners and side trips to the Christmas markets for the holidays. Quite a bonus! Our tour director was absolutely wonderful.
Trafalgar provided a first class trip and we would use them again. People need to realize how packed a trip can be. Between tours, breakfast lunch and dinners, each day is very full. An itinerary where you can stay at one place for at least 2-3 nights would be preferable, rather than having to pack and unpack every night. The hotels they picked were fine and we enjoyed all excursions, with the exception of the Prague one of a "folklore" dinner. They should update this one.
Tour exceeded expectations in many ways. Much more included information and sight seeing. It would help to have more facts and fewer adjectives in descriptions. We added all the optional tours which added to the expense but gave us much more experience and took care of almost all of the meals. It would have been nice to know the price, time and details before the trip. The tour director was excellent too. Not just in his knowledge, patience, sense of humor, and experience but also in his flexibility to enhance our experience when he could. Two examples: when all went on the optional excursion he changed the route to the next location to include more scenery and when we were going to get to our hotel early he added in more coach tour of the city. All but two of the hotels were excellent. One that was not did not actually have an accessible room as claimed. The local guides were excellent too!!! We enjoyed the other travelers, a mix of U.S., Canada and Australian. Good food on included and optional meals (included wine, beer and soft drinks). The bus driver was great too and it would be good to note that the bus has a bathroom. We hope to travel like this again.
Trafalgar in general was wonderful. The only thing that was less than optimal was we hit extremely high temperatures in some places and the air conditioning was limited or in Switzerland there wasn't any in our hotel.
Maya was very helpful in every way
Affordable Tours got us connected with Trafalgar Tours. Both companies were amazing and made our first adventure into guided tours enjoyable and easy. Will for sure use both companies down the road of life.
Nice hotels and constant outings with time to shop and explore. Good local guides and our tour director was very professional
Our family of 4 enjoy traveling with Trafalgar to Europe especially during Winter as Trafalgar has land tour packages that meet our winter holiday schedule.
Not all the hotels on this trip were as nice as expected.
Found all aspects of the trip to be as advertised. Because of other events that were happening in Austria we were not able to book the hotel that is normally used and the alternative was not as good. Very small and issues with water temperature . Thought that the optional tours offered by Trafalgar were very good and well worth the time and money. Well organized, pleasant and professional guides and tour director. Overall my wife and I were very satisfied.
I have traveled with Trafalgar before but this time I brought my husband, brother in law and sister in law along. It was fun to watch them be excited about how amazing the tour was. It made travel easy, fun and informative. The bus travel, rooms, local guides, extra tours and great extras made it a wonderful time. I would highly recommend this trip to everyone!
We had a wonderful trip and everything was top notch!
This trip was amazing , went to 5 countries in 9 days , very fast and hectic but fun . Our tour director and Driver were great , Food was awesome . Thinking of another trip next year !!
Great operator
Two cities rooms were not up to the standards. No AC when weather was 90+
It was a great trip. Everything arranged very well!
The bus trip was wonderful, met lots of new people, saw lots of new locations and had a wonderful tour guide that was an exceptional choice for this tour.
The trip was wonderful. Justine was absolutely wonderful, compassionate, and helpful. The cities I visited were beautiful. it is impossible to visit all the museums, cathedrals and palaces which is a little frustrating, but in the past it gave me reason to go back and visit these cities. The only negative thing is the long bus ride made my feet swell, and the long walks made my knees hurt. It is best to take tours, when you are young and not a senior citizen. I met wonderful people, and it was nice for Justine to give us a group picture and also emails of everyone.
The tour was about as good as it gets. The tour director was professional, knowledgeable and highly entertaining. The driver was terrific at navigating the tour bus and was always on time. Trafalgar did a great job with this tour. The hotel accommodations and provided meals were very good and the tour was reasonably priced. Affordable Tours was helpful and was a pleasure to deal with. Will use their services again in the future bookings we make.
Since this is the third trip with Trafalgar I noticed a difference in the amount of optional tours. Also the places mentioned in the booklet such as Prague Castle and Melk Abbey we just saw from the outside. When we toured California with Trafalgar inside tours were included such as Hearst Castle.
Imperial Europe Tour by Trafalgar exceeded our expectations! This is the first time we booked a group tour and definitely not the last. We are so satisfied with our experience with Affordable Tours and Trafalgar that we can highly recommend both. Our Travel Tour Director and driver were excellent! He was funny, full of knowledge and a great communicator. Everything was well organized. We saw a lot of places and learned new things. The sites were just amazing! Although it was a big group, 46 total, we didn't feel it was a hindrance. Everybody was cooperative and considerate. Nobody was late, always made it on time which made everything move smoothly. The group was diverse with people from Australia, Singapore and majority from USA. We like the pace of the tour, it was not too hectic and gives you enough free time to do things on your own. We are so happy we went in this tour. It was a wonderful experience with memories that will last a lifetime.
Our family had a memorable time on the Imperial Europe tour. We enjoyed all the sights, history and experiences!
We had a wonderful experience with Trafalgar and would not hesitate to use them again. Everything was well-organized and our tour director was outstanding. I mean REALLY outstanding. He was extremely knowledgeable and had a wonderful sense of humor. Everyone on the tour just loved him. The local specialists were very good. Our only concern was that 2 of our accommodations (Andels and especially Novotel) were adequate, but not especially up to expectations. All breakfasts were great. The same with dinners. We would highly recommend Trafalgar to people we know that are interested in traveling with a tour operator.
Very well planned and the accommodations were excellent. The guide was fabulous. Loved the trip!!!
Great trip!! Loved every moment!
Although the weather on our Imperial Europe vacation was less than ideal, the trip was a wonderful, enriching, and fun experience.
The Tour was excellent. Our tour guide was the best Travel director we have had on any tour. Too many optional tours offered in place of basic sites should have been covered in each city for the price of the tour we are paying. Too much free time to cover optional tours, avoid that in the future. All hotels were excellent, except Holiday Inn on the last day was a let down at Salsburg, especially after staying at Hilton Danube at Vieanna an superb choice.
I have no complaints. I felt the trip was exceptional and we were well taken care of with travel and hotel accommodations. The trip was a fantastic trip. I would book another trip with Trafalgar. Thanks again for making it such a wonderful trip.
