Reviews for Austria Tours and Vacations

We were pleasantly surprised to find Trafalgar had added additional dinners and side trips to the Christmas markets for the holidays. Quite a bonus! Our tour director was absolutely wonderful.

Benita P

This is geared towards Gate 1: The hotel in Munich was really nice so I think everyone expected the rest of the hotels to be of that quality. However, the hotel in Salzburg was ok just not the Hilton. It appeared we were put in the old part of the hotel. I had to ask to have my room moved since it was right next to a room being renovated by workers that were still working when we checked in. It was a shock that we were put in the quality hotel that we were in Vienna!! I have pictures of just how nasty the room actually was when I checked in. I have a hard time believing Gate 1 would allow that caliber of hotel and think customers would not post comments on other sites about it. The area of town was very questionable and way too far from the market. I cannot understand why Gate 1 would book there? On a great note, our guide and driver were absolutely AWESOME!!!! She was a perfect guide who has such a great sense of humor and really cared about everyone. He had to be the best bus driver EVER!!!!
