The old capital of Toledo and on to GranadaVisit the fascinating city of Toledo, situated high above the River Tagus. This was Spain's capital during the Golden Era, where Arab, Jewish and Christian cultures flourished side-by-side through the Middle Ages. From here you will venture south to meet a local artisan in a Damascene workshop for a personal insight into this ancient craft, handed down by the Moors centuries ago. Then enjoy a walk within the city walls of Toledo, through the narrow cobbled streets, led by your Local Expert. Food was disappointing. We had the same kind of food for evening dinners, although the seafood feast was good.
Our Amazing Spain & Portugal tour with Insight exceeded our expectations, from our lovely Tour Director and Local Guides to our coach bus and driver as well as accommodations and experiences. It was worry free, everything was seamless from our arrival to departure and everything in between. We look forward to our next tour, Northern Spain!!
Our schedule was very busy, but there's no way I could have scheduled all of the activities we did myself. It's great to have someone else doing all the work! We visited several great towns, and the walking tours with local experts were excellent.
