Health and Safety Protocols

Everything Royal Caribbean does, onboard and on land, is about safeguarding the guests and crew. Royal Caribbean ships provide a worry-free vacation! Here are some steps we are taking to ensure we keep you healthy. Royal Caribbeany has developed a comprehensive plan to respond to COVID-19 situations, just in case. Preparedness is key! If someone should fall ill or display symptoms while sailing, Royal Caribbean has rigorous protocols in place, including intensified cleaning, air filtration, and sanitizing procedures and medical isolation. Each ship has reviewed their inventory and are all well-equipped with supplies and personal protective equipment, such as masks and medicine.


Along with a team of medical experts and guidance from health organizations, Royal Caribbean is monitoring the situation and either canceling or modifying itineraries to impacted areas.


At the pier, all guests participate in mandatory screenings that include exclusion due to travel based on temporary restrictions and even a thermal scan to check everyone's temperature. Some guests may be subject to a secondary review. Dependent of screening results, some guests may be denied boarding to ensure Royal Caribbean is keep their ships healthy and safe.


Before and after all sailings, the cruise terminal is thoroughly sanitized. And, boarding, each ship undergoes deep sanitation using industry-standard cleaners proven to combat bacteria & viruses.


With the guidance of the World Health Organization and U.S. Centers for Disease Control, all ships across the entire Royal Caribbean International fleet have elevated sanitation procedures. Key areas, which include public venues & restrooms, are sanitized approximately every 30 minutes.


One of the best ways to stay healthy is to keep your hands clean. So, Royal Caribbean has increased the availability of hand sanitizer stations and continue to enforce hand cleansing at all food venues onboard. Hand sanitizers are effective against a broad number of pathogens, including Coronavirus COVID-19.


Royal Caribbean has rigorous medical protocols in place to help those who aren’t feeling well, like complimentary medical consultations for guests with fever or flu-like symptoms, medical isolation when warranted, and intensified ship cleaning, air filtration, and sanitization procedures.


Guest staterooms are thoroughly cleaned twice a day. During instances that guests display flu-like symptoms, their stateroom will receive an additional deep-cleaning.


During each sailing, the Captain makes two announcements each day to remind guests to wash their hands often, use recommended coughing etiquette, and to report any high fever or flu-like illness symptoms immediately.

We suggest that you arrive at least 2 hours before the scheduled departure time.

Question: How can I communicate with my family and friends at home when I am on the cruise?

Telephone service can be quite expensive and the service may be spotty. However, Wi-Fi services are also becoming the standard though access may come with a fee. You can view rates once you register for the cruise. Some stateroom categories and loyalty program benefit levels will offer a generous amount of "Wi-Fi Time", access to the ship's internet cafe or both.

The ship, the food, the entertainment and the ships crew were all terrfiic. Unfortunately the weather was "uncooperative"....cold, windy, rainy, etc. As a result the ship was unable to dock in Nassau Bahamas.

The Anthem of the Seas was wonderful in every respect. I have gone on many cruises and this ranks at the ve4y top. Activities galore around the clock. Excellent entertainment. Staff always extended themselves!Highly recommended!

My experience with Affordable Tours has always been exceptionally good. My cruise representative Anwar was excellent!!! He was so very patient and very knowledgeable in answering all of my questions regarding our cruise. I have referred your Tour Company to many of my friends and I stand on the experiences of travel that I have enjoyed for over 20 years. This cruise was an Amazing Experience and I will absolutely be contacting Affordable Tours for future travels.

The only recommendation for this cruise is to have a little more time at every island and less at private island. Every thing else was excellent. Also we wish we were able to distribute tips on our own instead of paying every day 14.50$ in our bill per person without knowing where the money went.

Rachel recommended getting adjoining rooms for one of our married daughters with a 1 7 month old baby. That was invaluable. Also, my family had 4 room next to each other which made it possible to open our balconeys and enjoy each other's company even more. It was a trip of a lifetime.

Had a wonderful time. We didn't care for the ( my time dining) on this ship. There were lines regardless of the time slot you chose. We missed being seated with the same group every night and being able to chat and compare our days activity. The formal dining room seemed cramped and dark. We ended up eating in the solarium cafe or windjammer most of the time.

Royal Caribbean continues to provide excellent service in all areas. However, on this cruise the dining room waiter was a bit slower than he should have been.

Royal Caribbian cruise experience was excellent. Food and rooms were excellent.

We had a great experience on Royal Caribbean's Anthem of the Sea. We had a balcony for 4- traveled with my sisters. The port was only a two hour drive which was convenient. The staff was friendly and helpful with any questions.

Bianca was very helpful and was able to accommodate us with all questions and concerns. Our group was very satisfied with our vacation .

Boris was very helpful & offered us a reasonable price for our trip. There were no problems with our vacation.

Royal Caribbean is disappointing in many ways. Our last several cruises have been on Celebrity, and Royal Caribbean just doesn't compare. I do see how RC is wonderful if you are travelling with kids.

Cruise was truly fun and relaxing. Definitely too much food! Seems all we did was eat; but the food was excellent and so was the service. There were upgrades offered in the restaurants, but they are definitely a waste of money. Spend your money on something else - the included food is great! Likewise, take advantage of the free entertainment. There was plenty to see and do that would satisfy anybody. It was truly a great cruise and I would highly recommend it.

The entire RCI staff on board the Anthem of the Sea was customer oriented, not task focused. GREAT Customer service from arrival at drop-off until departure from the port to go home.

An excellent package for a quick getaway. The only problem we found was there were too many kids on the ship, 1800 to be exact.

Royal Caribbean continues to provide a good quality cruising experience. The accomodations and food were fine.
