Carnival Cruise Line has eliminated its fuel surcharge effective for all voyages. For all bookings within the final payment period, the fuel supplement will be refunded in the form of a shipboard credit. For all bookings outside of the final payment period, the fuel supplement will be removed and guests will be provided with a revised final payment amount.
Carnival reserves the right to charge a fuel supplement of up to $9.00 per person per day, without prior notice, in the event that the price of light sweet crude oil according to the NYMEX (New York Mercantile Exchange Index) is greater than $70.00 per barrel of oil. Carnival may collect any fuel supplement in effect at the time of sailing, even if the cruise fare has been paid in full.
Celebrity Cruises has suspended their fuel supplement for all sailings. Guests already booked on sailings that depart on or after January 1, 2009, will receive a refund of any fuel supplement paid, as follows: Guests with existing bookings for sailings that depart on or after January 1, 2009, and who are now paid in full, will have the supplement automatically refunded to them in the form of an onboard credit during their sailing. Guests with existing bookings for sailings that depart on or after January 1, 2009, and who are not yet paid in full, will have the supplement automatically removed from their outstanding balance.
For US reservations, Celebrity Cruises reserves the right to impose a fuel supplement on all guests if the price of West Texas Intermediate fuel exceeds $65.00 per barrel. The fuel supplement for 1st and 2nd guests would be no more than $10 per guest per day, to a maximum of $140 per cruise; and for additional guests would be no more than $5 per person per day, to a maximum of $70 per cruise.
The cruise price does not include additional charges, such as increases in prices due to fuel costs. The Company reserves the right to impose any of these surcharges, provided that the Customer is notified at least 20 days before the start of the package. If the Surcharge exceeds 8% of the total invoice amount, the Customer is entitled to cancel the cruise and receive a full refund of all payments made. Alternatively, the Customer may choose to transfer the cruise to a different date within the next 12 months without any amendment charge. To exercise this option, the Customer must submit a written request within 14 days of being informed about the Surcharge. If the Customer fails to respond within this timeframe, the Company will assume that the Customer accepts the price change. The Company will process any refunds within 14 days of the contract being terminated. If the Customer does not wish to cancel the booking, they may accept the proposed price change.
Costa Cruises may charge cruise fuel supplements if the NYMEX oil price exceeds $70 per barrel. Cruiseonly fares do not include (i) the cruise fuel supplement, if any, and (ii) cruise taxes and fees imposed by governmental or quasi-governmental authorities, such as fees levied for embarkation, disembarkation or landing, arrival or departure taxes, security surcharges, passenger facility charges, and customs and immigration fees, which depend on the sailing and are described on the booking pages of this website.
Disney Cruise Line has eliminated its fuel surcharge. Clients who have already booked a cruise will be refunded their supplement based on the following guidelines: If the closing price on the NYMEX (New York Mercantile Exchange) of West Texas Intermediate fuel is below $70 a barrel two weeks prior to the beginning of the calendar quarter, the company will refund fuel surcharges paid in the form of an onboard credit. The quarter that the cruise falls in will be based solely on the sailing date. The entire cruise will be considered to be part of the quarter that the sailing date originates in. For the calendar of dates on which the price of West Texas Intermediate fuel will be measured and the quarters during which refunds could apply.
Emerald reserves the right to vary Tour Prices at any time, in its absolute discretion, to account for any increase in costs, including but not limited to airfares, fuel, government taxes and charges, exchange rate fluctuations or other tour related costs or tariffs. If Emerald has received the full amount of the Tour Price from you, there will be no increases to your Tour price, regardless of any increases in the tour costs inside or outside of our control. If you have not paid the full amount of the Tour Price, and we must vary your Tour Price due to an increase in tour costs outside of Emerald's control, any increase Emerald applies to the Tour Price will be only to the extent required to meet such additional costs.
Holland America has eliminated its fuel surcharge for all voyages. For all bookings within the final payment period, the fuel supplement will be refunded in the form of a shipboard credit. For all bookings outside of the final payment period for departures, the fuel supplement will be removed and guests will be provided with a revised final payment amount.
Holland America reserves the right to reinstate fuel supplements if the price of light sweet crude oil, according to the NYMEX, should increase above $70 per barrel.
The fare that you paid was determined far in advance of Initial Departure on the basis of then-existing projections of costs, including but not limited to fuel costs. The Company reserves the right to impose or pass through fuel surcharges, security surcharges or similar incidental surcharges at any time prior to departure. In the event of an increase in costs above amounts projected, the Company further reserves the right to increase the fare or impose surcharges at any time up to Initial Departure and to require payment of the additional fare or surcharges prior to Initial Departure.
Norwegian has the right to impose a fuel supplement without prior notice if the closing price of West Texas Intermediate Fuel exceeds $65.00 USD per barrel on the NYMEX (New York Mercantile Exchange Index). If a fuel supplement is applied, Norwegian will have the sole discretion to apply the charge to both existing and new bookings, even if those bookings have already been paid in full. This supplement is separate from the cruise fare and will not exceed $10.00 USD per passenger, per day.
Oceania Cruises has eliminated its fuel surcharge for all new bookings. Oceania will refund the fuel supplement in the form of an on-board credit for all 2009 bookings within the final payment period. All existing 2009 bookings outside of the final payment period will be adjusted to remove the fuel supplement and Oceania will revise the final payment amount. Oceania has reserved the right to reinstate the fuel surcharge, based on the price of light sweet crude with different parameters.
The Carrier reserves the right to impose a fuel surcharge supplement without prior notice if the closing price of West Texas Intermediate crude oil rises above $65.00 USD per barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX). This fuel surcharge supplement will not exceed $10.00 USD per passenger, per day. The Carrier may apply this charge at its sole discretion to both existing and new reservations. Additionally, the Carrier may collect the fuel surcharge supplement at the time of sailing, even if the fare has already been paid in full.
Royal Caribbean International reserves the right to modify published rates, including cruise fares and airfare costs, at any time without prior notice, whether through an increase or decrease. Additionally, we may impose a fuel surcharge or other supplemental fees on both existing and new bookings (regardless of payment status) as outlined in our Passenger Ticket Contract. We also reserve the right to pass through any third-party-imposed fuel or other surcharges without prior notice. Guests remain responsible for any applicable taxes, fees, or surcharges assessed by governmental or quasi-governmental entities.
Scenic may vary Your Tour Price at any time before You have paid the Tour Price in full to the extent necessary to meet any increase in the Tour costs for reasons outside Our control, including airfares, fuel, government taxes and charges, exchange rate fluctuations or other Tour related costs or tariffs. We will not vary the Tour Price after We have received the total Tour Price from You, regardless of any increases in the costs incurred by Us. We will notify You of any such variation using the Guest Contact Details.
The Cruise Fare shall be deemed to be earned when paid and not refundable except as set forth below. Seabourn reserves the right to increase the Cruise Fare and any air fare supplements without prior notice. However, fully paid or deposited guests will be protected from such increases, except for fuel supplements, government taxes, other surcharges and changes to deposit and payment and cancellation terms/conditions, which are all subject to change without notice. Seabourn reserves the right to charge a fuel supplement without prior notice, in the event that the price of light sweet crude oil according to the NYMEX (New York Mercantile Exchange Index) is greater than $70.00 per barrel of oil. Seabourn may collect any fuel supplement in effect at the time of sailing, even if the cruise fare has been paid in full.
The Voyage Fare is set well in advance of the departure date, based on existing projections for fuel and other costs. If there is an increase in fuel or any other costs beyond the projected amounts, the Carrier reserves the right to raise the fare at any time before the departure date. In such cases, the Carrier will require payment of the additional fare prior to departure. Failure to pay the additional fare may result in the Carrier refusing to transport you.
You have the option to cancel this contract for a full refund of the voyage fare if you notify us within seven (7) days of being informed about the increased fare, but no later than the departure date. Please note that cancellation fees do not apply in this case.
In the event of any significant change in such costs beyond Silversea's control, including but not limited to increases in the price of fuel, currency fluctuations affecting Silversea's costs, increases in government taxes or levies, or increased security costs, Silversea reserves the right to surcharge passengers to cover such unexpected costs. Silversea has the right to refuse to transport passengers unless the additional surcharge is paid in advance of initial departure.
No fuel surcharge is in effect at the time of printing this brochure. Star Clippers reserves the right to impose a fuel surcharge, without prior notice, on all guests if the price of Light Sweet Crude Oil according to the NYMEX (New York Mercantile Exchange Index) exceeds USD $80 per barrel of oil. The fuel surcharge for guests should not be more than $10 per guest per day. Star Clippers may collect any fuel surcharge in effect at the time of sailing, even if the cruise fare has been paid in full. No right of cancellation exists under any circumstance due to the charging of fuel surcharges.
Windstar has eliminated its fuel surcharge on all sailings departing after January 1, 2009. The fuel surcharge originally applied only to sailings through March 31, 2009. Windstar will automatically refund the fuel surcharge to guests in the form of a shipboard credit for those sailings departing between January 1 and March 31, 2009. Winstar has reserved the right to reinstate the fuel surcharge, based on the price of light sweet crude with different parameters.
