Azamara Cruises

No guest under the age of twenty-one (21) will be reserved in a stateroom unless accompanied by an adult twenty-one (21) years of age, or older.  Passengers must be at least six months old to sail on Azamara cruises. However, some itineraries may have different age requirements due to local laws and regulations. Parents or guardians must not permit any guest in their care under the age of 18 years to disembark the ship in any of the ports without proper supervsion.

Carnival Cruises

Guests are required to be 21 years of age (on embarkation day) to travel on their own. Guest ages will be verified at embarkation. Guests not conforming to this policy will result in denied boarding and no compensation will be provided at embarkation.

Guests Under the Age of 21 MUST travel with a relative or guardian of 25 years of age or older
The guardian does not need to be a legal guardian.
The bookings must be cross-referenced with the relative or guardian’s stateroom and documented properly.
Guests who are 21 to 24 years of age may travel with their minor children.

Minors Traveling Together: The policy is slightly different because of stricter guidelines as follows:
Must have 1 chaperone for every 8 minors
Prepaid gratuities per minor are due at final payment
8 or more staterooms must be booked through the Group Department and a $100 damage deposit per minor will be charged.

Traveling with a Minor
When traveling with a minor where one parent or both parents or legal guardians are not cruising, we strongly recommend bringing an original signed letter from the absent parent(s) or legal guardians authorizing the minor to travel with you. This will expedite processing by the Department of Homeland Security.

Where minor guests can be booked in relation to relative or guardian:
Guests 12 and younger If the relative or guardian insists on booking separate staterooms, minors must either be directly across the hall or next door.
Guests 12 and under may not be assigned to a balcony stateroom without a relative or guardian (25 years of age or older).
Guests 13 - 17 years of age Can be booked up to 3 staterooms away from a relative or guardian (25 years of age or older).
Guests 18 – 20 years of age Do not have any restrictions and may book whatever location they prefer.

Exceptions: Guests under the age of 21 may travel without a relative or guardian of 25 years of age or older under the following conditions:
For both exceptions below, bookings should be carefully documented.
Documentation should be e-mailed prior to the cruise to [email protected] (DL-ResAdmin_ [email protected]) or hand-carried to embarkation. Failure to provide documentation or not conforming to this policy will result in denied boarding and no compensation will be provided.

Legally married couples, including same gender couples
Proper documentation must be submitted.
Documentation includes: marriage license issued by the County Clerk’s Office; legal proof of civil union; for newly married couples: a copy of the marriage license application or certificate signed by the official that performed the ceremony.

Qualified Military Personnel
Applies to US Military Personnel and Canadian National Defense personnel (and their traveling companions in the same stateroom) of 18 – 20 years of age.
Copy of proof of service must be submitted.

Infant Policy

Cruise fares are per person which includes children and infants. When traveling with 2 full fare guests, additional guests in the same stateroom pay a discounted cruise fare. Children less than 2 years of age are not required to extend gratuities.

For all cruises (except Transatlantic, Hawaii, TransPacific and South America cruises), Infant guests are required to be at least six (6) months of age on embarkation day to be eligible to travel.

For Transatlantic, Hawaii, Transpacific and South America cruises, Infant guests are required to be at least twelve (12) months of age on embarkation day to be eligible to travel. Transatlantic cruises are those from the United States to Europe or Europe to the United States.

This policy is in place due to the infant's vulnerable health. While at sea or in port the availability of medical care may be limited or delayed. Early infant care, in particular may require specialized diagnostic facilities and/or treatment that are not obtainable during the cruise on board the ship or ashore in ports of call.

Celebrity Cruises

UNACCOMPANIED MINORS
No guest under the age of 21 will be booked in a stateroom unless accompanied by an adult 21 years or older. This age limit will be waived for: minor children sailing with their parents or guardians in adjacent staterooms; for underage married couples; and for active duty members of the United States or Canadian military. Certain other restrictions may apply, such as proof of marriage or proof of active duty military status.

INFANTS
Infants sailing on a cruise/Cruisetour must be at least 6 months old as of the first day of the cruise/Cruisetour, and 12 months old for Transatlantic, Transpacific, select South American and other select cruises/Cruisetours. To view the full list of cruises for which the requirement applies, please visit celebritycruises.com/infants. Any Cruisetours associated with these cruises are also subject to the minimum age requirement. Denial of boarding for infants who do not satisfy these minimum age requirements may also result in the denial of boarding for one or more guests sailing with that infant. No refunds or other compensation shall be due from the cruise line to anyone as a result of the denial of boarding to an underage infant or other accompanying guests.

ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES POLICY

The minimum drinking age for all alcoholic beverages on all Celebrity ships is 21.
• However, on ships in Europe, Asia, Australia and South America, where the legal drinking age is lower than 21, a parent who is sailing with his or her son(s) and/or daughter(s) who is between the ages of 18 and 20, may sign a waiver allowing the 18 to 20 year-old to consume alcoholic beverages.
• The 18 to 20 year-old must agree to comply with Celebrity’s policies, including among other things, agreeing to not provide alcoholic beverages to any other person, regardless of age. Restrictions apply, and this policy is subject to change without notice.
 • An individual’s age on the date of sailing determines his or her status for the entire cruise vacation.
• Alcoholic beverages that are purchased in ports of call or from onboard shops will be stored by the ship and returned to guests on the last day of the sailing. Security may inspect containers (water bottles, soda bottles, mouthwash, luggage, etc.) and will dispose of containers holding alcohol. Celebrity’s Guest Conduct Policy may be enforced up to, and including, disembarkation if a guest violates any alcohol policy. Guests under the age of 21 will not have alcohol returned to them.

Guests under the age of 18 may not play at the casino or use any spa facilities and must be accompanied by a person over 18 on shore excursions. The guest’s age on the date of sailing determines their status for the entire cruise.

Cunard Cruises

Children at least six months of age are welcome on most Cunard voyages; on Transatlantic Crossings, Transpacific voyages (including voyages to Hawaii), Iceland and World Voyages (including Segment Voyages), the minimum age is one year. We offer a full children's programme, from nursery to teens, so families can share this special journey together. Guests under the age of 18 years must be accompanied by a Guest 18 years or older who shall assume responsibility for their care during the voyage. Each Guest agrees and warrants that he/she will supervise any Guest in his/her care at all times to ensure, with all other rules of the Carrier and ship, are strictly adhered by all Guests under their supervision.

We provide supervised activities for children aged two to 17 years throughout the day, and also offer free group supervision in the evening.

A child travelling as the second guest in a stateroom requires payment of the published per-person fare. In order to provide adequate activities and facilities for our younger guests, the number of children on a specific voyage may be limited; please contact Cunard for details. Guests under the age of 18 are not permitted to gamble or enter the casino. Guests who are under 18 years of age are not permitted to purchase or consume alcohol on board. However, while in U.S. waters, Cunard Line enforces and abides by the U.S. legal drinking age of 21 years.

Disney Cruises

Minors under the age of 18 not traveling with a parent or legal guardian must be accompanied by an adult 21 years of age or older in the same stateroom. The parent or guardian of any minor not traveling with a parent or guardian must appoint an adult to have custody and control over the minor and to contract on their behalf in connection with the Disney Cruise Line vacation. A minor authorization form can be obtained by visiting disneycruise.com and selecting "My Disney Cruise" or is sent when a document package is mailed. The form must be signed by a parent or legal guardian prior to embarkation at the Disney Cruise Line Terminal. After 9:00 p.m., adult entertainment districts are restricted to Guests 18 years and older.

Emerald Cruises

Young Passengers. Children under 12 years old are ineligible to participate in Emerald's tours, except for applicable Christmas tours and cruises, and then only if accepted by Emerald in its sole discretion. Minors under the age of 18 traveling to foreign countries must be accompanied by both parents or have a notarized letter of consent signed by the parent(s) not traveling. If the other parent is deceased or the child has only one legal parent, a notarized statement must be obtained as proof. Your travel professional can provide additional information about this requirement.
Please Note: In an effort to prevent international child abduction, many governments have initiated procedures at entry and exit points. These often include requiring documentary evidence of relationship and permission for the child's travel from the parent(s) or legal guardian if not present. Having such documentation on hand, even if not required, may facilitate entry or departure. For specific information regarding the country to which you are traveling, please visit http://travel.state.gov for country-bycountry information. Parents, guardians and chaperones are responsible for overseeing the conduct of minors in their care. As such, minors may not be left unsupervised on board the ship. Minors should receive the same oversight that would be provided when visiting locations such as a large resort or theme park. A parent or legal guardian MUST accompany all children under the age of 18 on all tours for safety and liability reasons.

Minors Going Ashore Parents and guardians are responsible for deciding whether or not minors under age 16 are allowed to go ashore without adult supervision. If you want to permit a minor traveling with you to go ashore without an adult companion, please discuss this in advance with the shi'’s Security Officer so that they can make a notation of this in our gangway control system software. Absent this approval, our security personnel will generally prohibit minors from leaving the ship without an adult companion although we cannot provide absolute assurances in this regard. It is ultimately the responsibility of parents and guardians to ensure that minors traveling with them act in accordance with their instructions.
