Health and Safety Protocols
Before you board.
All guests will be subject to testing for Covid-19 in the period before traveling and/or at the cruise terminal. If a guest tests positive for Covid-19, or if anyone in their household has any symptoms or are self-isolating in the days prior to their voyage, they will not be permitted to board.
Prior to your departure, Cunard will send you the latest public health guidance as well as pre-voyage information about mitigating the risk of Covid-19, along with a health declaration questionnaire. Please read this carefully as this will include information regarding what to expect when you arrive at the terminal, your time on board, any country specific requirements to be aware of and other relevant protocols while you are traveling with us.
Boarding your ship.
We have enhanced our boarding procedures, working with our partners in the ports. In the cruise terminal, you will be required to adhere to the wearing of face coverings and social distancing, in accordance with all current guidelines.
Further health screening will be conducted before you board your ship. This will include a review of your health declaration questionnaire, a temperature check and more comprehensive medical screening if required. If a guest tests positive for Covid-19, or is identified as having Covid-19-like symptoms, or if they have been exposed or potentially exposed to Covid-19 then they will not be allowed to board.
Cleanliness and care.
We have always taken pride in the cleanliness of our ships. Our enhanced measures will raise these standards even higher, ensuring all areas are inspected and cleaned even more regularly, with products proven to be effective against Covid-19. Added hand sanitizer and hand-washing stations will also be available for your comfort and wellbeing.
Restaurants and bars.
Dining aboard one of our Queens will always be part of what makes a voyage with Cunard so special. Going forward, you may be asked to pre-reserve a table at our restaurants and you will only be permitted to dine with your traveling group or household. Additionally, dishes in our buffets and deck grills will now be served by our wait staff, while each of our restaurants and bars will be adapted to allow for social distancing.
Entertainment.
We’ll continue to offer a comprehensive program of music, theater and guest speakers on each of our voyages, with measures in place to ensure each performance adheres to the latest wellbeing and social distancing guidance.
Activities and leisure.
Areas such as our spa, salon, gym, pools, casino, shops, lounges and children’s clubs will be operating but will be subject to the latest approved guidance to minimize contact, reduce the number of guests in each area, and maintain the highest levels of cleanliness. All public areas will be adapted for social distancing and elevator capacity will be reduced. You may also see changes such as pre-booking come into effect in some areas of our ships for certain activities.
Your suite or stateroom.
Your stateroom steward, or butler if you’re staying in our Queens Grill suites, will maintain your accommodation to our enhanced housekeeping standards throughout your stay. To ensure social distancing, we will kindly ask that you are not in your accommodation while cleaning is taking place. To enhance our stateroom experience even further, we’ll be introducing an extended complimentary room service menu for you to enjoy.
In port.
You can still go ashore and explore the amazing ports we visit, initially only with our organized and vetted shore experiences. Port transfer and organized shore experience operators will be subject to new policies and procedures to reflect the latest approved guidance in line with our on board protocols, and will comply with all local guidance relating to social distancing and face coverings, which may differ from the guidance in your home country. Temperature checks and health screening may be carried out again on re-boarding the ship.
Post-voyage (track and trace).
All guests and crew will need to complete a passenger locator form to adhere to the UK Government’s Track and Trace initiative. Local country initiatives may also apply at the time of sailing.

Questions & Answers
Question: When should I arrive at the port?
Question: How can I communicate with my family and friends at home when I am on the cruise?
Our representative, Boris, was outstanding from first contact to the welcome back email...we would definitely recommend him and affordable tours.
The Queen Mary was a magnificent experience. Great value for the money.
Great trip made easy by Boris of Affordable Tours. Great job.
The Queen Mary 2 is an excellent ship. As an ocean-liner, it's well equipped to navigate the seas in all kinds of conditions. We enjoyed the food, entertainment, and service and felt fortunate to be part of this ship's maiden port stop in Reykjavik, Iceland.
We have sailed across the Ocean several times and the QM2 provides the smoothest ride and first class service. It was made for sailing rough seas and I would only sail the northern Atlantic on the Qm2.
We enjoyed the trip very much however we did have a bit of a problem at the beginning and end of the trip - The problem at the beginning related to a computer mellfunction that Cunard had which delayed our boarding time about 2 & 1/2 hours - On our arrival in Brooklyn they had a problem with something on the Boat which delayed our disembarking time about an hour or so - Other then these 2 things Cunard staff etc. did a great job.
Cunard lines lived up to expectations.
Our only unpleasant moment was on the last evening when at the end of dinner our waiters made it very clear that they expected to be tipped over and above the service charges that we were added to our bill I would recommend that Cunard clarify whether or it is reasonable for the waiters to expect extra money, and, if so, how much.
While certain aspects of the Queen Mary 2 has slightly declined since my first trip on this ship (this is my third trip on this ship), the overall experience is still very high and unique to Cunard. The speakers on this particular cruise and the fashion aspect lived up to expectations, if not beyond. I do feel the overall training of the crew needs improvement based on my experience of other Cunard cruises but again, I feel that compared to some of the other cruise lines, this is still superior. I have already booked another cruise with Cunard via Affordable Tours for next year.
I believe all the fitness classes were supposed to be included in the price, however Canyon Ranch charged for classes. As a result, I didn't take as many yoga classes as I would have liked or try other classes.
Affordable Tours did a great job in getting us the best price for this cruise. The Queen Mary 2 is an amazing ship and our trip started with a complimentary bottle of champagne to wish us a bon voyage from Affordable Tours. What a memorable trip! Thanks.
Our agent has booked us on previous trips, and has consistently provided timely, professional help when needed.
The ship is beautiful. Staff are non communicative. Would not sail Cunard again. Hell would be doing a world cruise on this cruise line.
Every thing was absolutely great
The ship was lovely. We had a sheltered balcony which was excellent because it was warm even though we were out in the middle of the Atlantic. I would recommend the sheltered balcony cabins on the QMII. We got the table assignment requested and the food was good. The atmosphere on the ship was good. The only negative was having to disembark at 8:30 AM on the day we arrive in South Hampton.
